Working on me, for me🥰
After the past couple of weeks I have felt super guilty for not training as much as I normally do. However the reality is everyone’s lifestyle is different and certain things need to be prioritised. I’m on this journey for me so I’ll do what suits me 💁🏻♀️ this gal ain’t stressing no more ✌🏼

Becoming unstoppable with your health is one of the wisest choices you will ever make. Successful people understand the importance of good health and make their own health a top #priority. They educate themselves about healthy food, exercise and managing stress. And they make plans to eat healthy at every meal. In other words, they don't leave their health to chance.
What you eat and how you exercise affects every area of your life, when you are young and when you are older. Notice I didn't say "how much" you exercise, but how you exercise. Successful people use their exercise as a time to reset and plan ahead. They make smart food choices (such as plant-based food.) that will help raise their energy levels so they can accomplish everything on their daily to-do list.
Have you planned what's for dinner tonight? Is smart exercise on your to-do list for today? Choose wisely...every day.
I've been out of commission for a bit since I was away for the weekend and had no service where I was staying. I'm also feeling super sick today but I thought I'd post something positive! Yall have seen me Kettlebell swing before but yesterday was the heaviest I've gone and it felt amazing! If I'm not mistaken, the kettlebell weighed about 55lbs. That may not seem like much to some but it's an accomplishment for me, especially with how I was able to keep my form throughout all 10 reps! 😭
A couple of things to be mindful of: 🌟One thing I do see a lot with Kettlebell swings is people making it into a knee dominant movement (so they end up squatting) when it is a hip dominant movement (you're hinging at the hip). It's like I'm bending over, to put it simply. Think of keeping your knees in line with your ankles...that'll prevent you from turning it into a squat. 🌟I also see people using kettlebells that aren't heavy enough so you'll see their arms swing up way past their shoulders.
🌟Rounding of the back is also a no-no! 🌟Pushing the hips forward to the point of hyper extending your lower back. You still do want to use your hips and drive them forward, but when come up you want to squeeze those glutes together, which will push those hips forward just a bit. No need to go crazy with that hip thrusting. 😂
Hopefully a couple of these little pointers will help some of you improve your Kettlebell swing!
Truth Day Tuesday
I had a different post planned for today, but I woke up thinking about something @cheldinbarlatt said to me yesterday.
Do you play the comparison game? We talk a lot about how social media exacerbates the comparison game and we allow ourselves to forget we don't know the entire story. The truth is it doesn't begin and end with our online lives. We do it with each other too. We even unfairly compare ourselves with our own selves and selectively forget the full tale.
I meet a lot of amazing, beautiful, accomplished women. They are entrepreneurs, mothers, employees, wives, partners and friends. They all have it going on in some way and are rockstars in their own rights. What I can tell you about them, myself, and guess about strangers who seem to be the same. We are all making choices and not one of us is doing it ALL, all by ourselves. The time and energy doesn't exist. We exchange one thing for another in order to get what we want. Then, because we want to be the picture of our ideals we beat ourselves up for what we see as our short comings or the things we let slide.
I have so much going on and I often think I fall short of some expectation I’ve made up. Do you know what I’m saying?
You are not alone. Find the friends who don't judge. share their stories, hold space for you and hold space for them. We are all one missing kid's shoe, missed paperwork, workout, failed to pack a nutritious, organic, sustainably sourced meal away from the edge of sanity.
Når jeg engang bliver stor og stærk, vil jeg lære at gå på hænder 💪🏽 Kommentar @jesperbansov: “Det ligner jo næsten at du har lange ben her” 😂🖕🏽

I want to apologize if I’ve been annoying or excessive with fitness-related posts lately. I’ve just been so excited because I recently hit my 1 year of dedication to a healthier lifestyle. I want to share a little more of my personal story that many of you may not know (or even care about, but oh well, here goes)... 😅🙈 I absolutely hate admitting this, because it’s incredibly embarrassing, but when I stepped foot on the scale January last year, I had reached 200 lbs. This is not a number I ever expected I would see for myself, under any circumstance. I had formed such a terrible habit of eating fast food every day, sometimes at 2-3 different places in one day. I hardly ever ate veggies, poured copious amounts of sugar over any fruit I ate, and sometimes would go half a day without eating and then binge a ton of high-carb, high-fat stuff to “make up” for it. Although I realize there are no excuses for my behavior at the time, I had formed this habit from when I had been finishing graduate school, taking a full courseload, writing my thesis, working a highly stressful full-time job, and maintaining a part-time job.. All while keeping up a social life. Meal prep was not a thing at that point for me, and grocery shopping in itself became too daunting a task. But looking back, there are certainly better decisions I could have made. I was in such an unhealthy place in my life when I realized it was time to make a change.. A big one. And that’s exactly what I did, and haven’t looked back. There are many benefits to accompany a healthier lifestyle, aside from the inevitable weight loss. I feel better, look better, sleep better, etc. I am so happy I decided a year ago to take my first steps towards achieving a healthier, happier life, and am well on my way. I haven’t reached my goals yet, but am 67% there. And I’m starting to realize that even when I do hit that special goal # on the scale, I won’t be finished, for new goals will always present themselves. ✨
If you’re interested, give my fitness account a follow. I created it for both myself as a journal of sorts, and for hopefully inspiring others on their own personal journey to a healthier life! @keamariefit 💕

The infamous picnic table cloth shirt!!
Sometimes I feel like Jerry Seinfeld and his puffy pirate shirt when I talk about this masterpiece of a shirt 😂
At one point in time that shirt was my all time hands down favorite shirt. It was a 6XLT! But I thought I looked my best in it. I mean I better have it was almost a 300 dollar shirt, which is insane, but big clothes cost big money I was told. It wasn’t like I had many options either, big guys have one destination for clothes it feels like. Good ol’ DXL. So there I am miserable and sweaty. Probably sweating bullets because I just finished putting on my clothes and sneakers. That was most likely my cardio of the day.
Now I have a new favorite shirt. I got it as a gift for Christmas this year, it’s from Express, a store I never thought in my life I’d be able to purchase clothes in, its actually has been one of my goals to shop for clothes there, so I can check that off the goal list!
Not only that but it’s a “Fitted” XL shirt. Which I have never owned anything fitted before. So wearing this shirt comfortably with confidence is completely mind blowing to me 🤯
Before this journey wearing tight clothes was embarrassing. I needed everything loose on me, now if things are too loose on me it’s like I’m wearing blankets 😅
From a blanket sized 6XLT at 500lbs to a Fitted XL from Express‼️ But more importantly new gained confidence and happiness. This Transformation Tuesday has me feeling awesome!
Analyze your current pie chart often. Analyze what you want your pie chart to look like. And then move toward that pie chart you crave.
Little baby steps to that pie chart totally counts. There is no right way to move there.
What do you want more of in your pie chart? What do you want less of?
I will be working on my pie chart today and making some goals to get there...with goals of less work and more play in my pie chart 🤘🏼 What are you wanting to change about your pie chart? Comment below 👇🏼
