I’m day 5 into 16 days of “fake pro life” (never gonna happen btw) & I have a whole new appreciation for the travelling athlete.
Left my job Friday afternoon last week, and apart from online coaching, online nutrition plans & doing the behind the scenes stuff (admin taxes marketing)I only go back for 2 days of client work in the next 16 days. Currently not in my normal village, and boy oh boy the riding is challenging. I mentally have no troubles getting out for long volume rides (or doing them on the windtrainer for that matter), but when you have no idea where you are going...? 🤔🤯🤬 Too many traffic lights 🚦, too many checks of google maps 🗺, and a lot of “U turns” ↪️ . Still, 3hrs solid in the saddle and 20min easy run off with stride work, and now I get to do the best part... Swimming in the ocean enjoying all the beautiful fish was the highlight of a beautiful morning. The afternoon bike ride was windy. After mile 22, the ski opened with rain and dark clouds. My bike fit isn't doing me any favors. Old injuries came back to haunt me. Oh, how I miss my bike. 38 miles done, and ready for a cheeseburger after burning 2,000 plus calories today. Want to lose weight? Train for triathlon.
After all, some lines are their to define your story, your path, your choice and many other notorious desicion that life brings you. #familyday isn't an Happy day for me. I've been away of my Folks for the last 7 years not able to see them very much. I miss them a lot but, as I write those lines, with many Grammar Mistake 🤓, I want you to know that I'm struggling with professional life path. What to choose, what to do, wait, Press the "pause button"....If I've been told that at 25 years old I would need to press pause and redefine my path I would of said; "pff Your wrong screw you". Showing you my back after a good training session of Bike/run were I lost around 5pounds of Water doesn't mean anything to you but sure does to me. Means I had a good workout, means I thought about at least 20 Differents subject on my 3hr Bike ride, means I lost breath on my run, means I lost weight, means I can eat , means I worked Hard. All these lines to say probably half of you will read this completely. Life isn't always about quotes, nice phrase or good pictures, perfect workout or good filter. This is just what happens in life and what you can think about. Triathlon training!!! Sometimes taking on the biggest challenges in life make you grow stronger both mentally and physically. I never knew that I had in me until my friend who lost his son needed someone to be there for him. So, I had no other choice but to support my grieving friend who wanted to dedicate this race to his son. We both finished the whole triathlon on our first endeavor. Looking forward for the next one.
