I made this account not just for weight loss accountability but also for our student loan debt accountability. Losing weight and paying off debt have so many similarities and struggles to them, but I refuse to be in bondage from either of them anymore.
We have been so blessed to be able to get an education and paid for it ourselves. We got married at 19 and 20 while we were both freshman in college and had our two kids while in school when I was 20 and 22. It was 4 1/2 years for my schooling and 8 for my husband with his bachelor's and master's degree. We feel so blessed to have been able to get out of all that school with only $68,000 in student loans, it could have been SO SO SO much worse without our scholarships and grants. But living in some of the most expensive cities in the world has not made it easy to get out of this student loan debt. We are finally in a position, with a lot of sacrifice, to be able to be paying off larger amounts at a time. And I'm so proud of the last 2 months being able to pay off over $4000.
Just like the 130 lbs I've been trying to lose, this $68,000 seems just as difficult and slow moving. But I'm not giving up. Our countdown chain is slowly getting smaller. I just have to practice patience. .
Our perception of time causes us to never allow our dreams to come into fruition.
We sometimes put too much time between us and our dreams and that creates a resistance too strong for us to pursue them. Other times we anticipate our dreams to happen overnight and the let down discourages us from moving forward. •
What we have to recognize is we are in control of how much time we allocate and how long it will take for us to achieve our goals. Be realistic and diligent. •
This is a photo of a girl who still eats pizza, doesn't have rock hard abs😂 and just went for it!! It all started out by hard core depression setting in for a looooong time! I knew I needed a change and needed to lose weight but didn't feel like putting in the work (TBH) so I started a powder drink X2 a day. It worked for a while. But then it didn't.So I started to work out. I came across my current coach and I knew that what she was saying/doing is what I needed! It was the push I was looking for and I just went for it. I fell in love with my workout and haven't looked back. It seriously has changed my mentality and I can honestly say that I'm at a really good place right now❤️ I have an amazing group of girls who I can lean on for support❤️I chose a course that has sustainability and that I can literally do anywhere ❤️ We still have open spots available on my team!
