Happy #TechniqueTuesday ! The “Depth Drop To Tuck Jump” is one of my favorite plyometric exercises.
For athletes, plyometrics is a great way to exert maximum force in short intervals of time in order to increase power.
Use this exercise in order to improve your vertical jump and increase your explosive power. Be sure you have a strong foundation of plyometrics movements before attempting this more advanced motion and watch my form carefully to make sure you are performing it correctly.
Do you train using plyometrics? What are your favorite plyo exercises? Tell me below! —Your Coach, Adam
THIS WEEKS CHALLENGE ⚡️ How many Box Jumps can you do in a minute? We encourage all abilities to give this one a go - there are a variety of different heights to choose from meaning there’s no reason to not give it a shot 😄
So proud of Megan and Natalie fighting their fears and really going for it on box jumps! 👏
➡️Plyometric training benefits weight training because the exercises demonstrate explosive power, and in turn should benefit your ability to move a weight faster.
Want to give it a go? I've got some tips! 😁
Partner workouts are the best! This girl keeps me going no matter how tired I am 🙌🏽 Thank you @abv_fitlife for another awesome leg day 👏🏽
The last circuit we did is shown first in the videos because I love how together we are 👯♀️
-Banded squats (not shown)
-KB clean and press
-Barbell reverse lunges
-KB squat and jump squat
Wednesday’s are my least favourite day of the week.
I don’t have a good reason - I’m just not a fan.
But what I’m realizing more & more is that happiness is a state of mind.
It doesn’t happen all at once, but you can create it by taking just one step in a different direction or changing your perception.
So today, take a leap of faith & choose the good stuff
(even if it’s Wednesday) #BitterSweat

Do you add jumping to your regular workout routine? I sometimes do different kind of jumps cause I think that it’s a very good routine to have if you wanna develop a more effective running step. Box jumps is one way to do it, but there are many more. My favorites are the once I do uphill like one leg jumps and multi steps (I don’t know if that’s the right way to say it in English). Do you have any exercise to recommend that you like? #jumping#running#runner#runninginspiration#crossfit#boxjumps#crossfitmotala#motala

I had a lady ask me how many hours I invest in training the other day my response was “usually 22 minutes”..
She was shocked and then said ”no way... because it looks like you spend hours”. I replied back to her saying “nope....I did once but don’t anymore.”
She then asked me what the secret was and I said training wise ”intensity is the key... not everyday but at least 3 x a week then something long and slow in between”. I also said to her “you’ll need to work up to using some weight safely too if you really want to see great results.”.
Now I don’t know about you, but even though I’m coaching at a gym, there isn't time in a day to invest in several hours of training... nor is there any need for it these days. So when I'm training or ”working out” it has to be super effective and deliver results. Which is only to be a little fit, strong enough to play and do things with my daughter and without sounding too well umm err vain... look good naked 🙊😜😁.
So here's a sample of some of the intervals I really like to do. ..
Choose a weight which is heavy enough to challenge you without losing form or slowing you down so that you don't stop moving.
Complete 4 x 4 minutes of work with 2 minutes of rest between each interval. Workout flow = A then B then repeat A then B.
