#Savasana also known as corpse pose is actually a fully conscious pose aimed at being awake, yet completely relaxed. It prepares you for the ultimate destination. In Savasana you lie flat on your back while resting your arms and legs at 45 degrees.
This asana is a great way to calm the mind, reduce stress and fatigue, lower blood pressure, relieve headaches and moreover improves sleep.
Made myself a yummy fried egg with onion seeds, salt pepper and wrapped it in romaine lettuce. Ended up being a super low calorie breakfast but I am a happy camper. Was initially nervous to pack a fried egg but it tasted just perfect. Tomorrow Im thinking of adding some tahini sauce and avacado and make it a little bit more calorie rich.
I was so excited to eat it that I took a bite and then realized I should take a picture 😂

Why do you do a lot of the same kind of exercises?...🤔
Because I don’t think that exercise should be hard as fuck to follow. I think it should be easily attainable for everybody and everybody should be able to do the exercises and gain some kind of level of fitness and skill.
Just because exercises look easy doesn’t mean that they are. When you’re concentrating on your form, add slight tweaks and are progressing through lifting heavier weights that same exercise becomes harder.
All the fancy shit looks nice but might not necessarily be effective.
This is where people usually get it wrong and they’re constantly changing up their exercise routine because they either get bored or they think that it’s not working.
It’s not muscle confusion you’re just confused. 🥺
Programmes need time to work. Your body needs time to adjust to performing different exercises, possibly even ones that you’ve never done before. You can do the same programme for months, Exercises may be tweaked to be made harder and as you progress and so should the weight you lift.
Take a 5 x 5 program for example, it’s a very basic programme with a handful of exercises.
Performing the same routine workout A and workout B, lets say 3-4 times a week for 3 months.
From the outside it might seem extremely basic but done right it’s extremely effective and guaranteed to deliver results.
Not looking so basic now. 🏋🏼♀️
Since I've been only been able to walk so I can heal. I become very aware to me how much I really depended on exercise for more than what it truly is. 😂
Nutrition/Diet whatever you want to call it is the biggest thing we have to control. We give way too much credit for calories burned at the gym. (Its really only a small portion)We give way too little credit how much any extra calories a day can contribute pounds gained in a year. (100 calories a day for one year is 10Lbs.) So a focus of mine during this resting phase is eating what I want in the portion thats appropriate for me. Some days may be like this picture, others it maybe pad thai from a local restaurant. 😍I can still get to my goals even with a "setback."😁 Do you tend to think I only over ate a little I can burn it off easily? I did too. But I realize those little things add up (extra honey in my tea, eating bites while I cook dinner or off the kids plates... are some examples of where my extras come in) to more than what I calculated.
What is am area you can improve? Comment below and let's be accountable and honest so we can become aware and change those small habits

My vacation soon come! I have been waiting so long for this trip and now it's about 3 months away.
WITH THAT BEING SAID, it's time to kick my fitness up a few notches! I'm detoxing and prepping this week because my next challenge starts 3/27 to kick off my 90 day challenge. I don't have a number in mind. This challenge is about giving it my all everyday for 90 days!
What challenges are you doing or starting as we get closer to warmer seasons?
Wow I’ve been waiting so long to post this progress pic! It’s truly one of my best non scale victories so far because I have been working so hard for this. When my girl told me she was getting married and asked me to be a bridesmaid, I was so happy to be a part of her big day but I was also so insecure of how I would look. The dress she chose was one that was WAY out of my comfort zone. It’s tight fitting & snug & not something I’d pick up for myself. We ordered the bridesmaid dress back in July of last year, I was at 243lbs and no where near the start of my journey but in my heart I knew I was going to give this thing another shot & if I was successful I wanted to be prepared, therefore I ordered two dresses. A 2XL (left pic) and a LARGE (right pic). I tried on the 2XL when I got it back in July & I immediately hated it, I knew I needed to lose weight, I was at the highest I’ve been & it was out of control! Still, from July to September I wasted my time WISHING I could lose the weight instead of doing something about it. Until I finally had enough, October 1st I joined a DietBet to find some motivation to jumpstart this thing and actually stick to it. I put the pic on the left as my screen saver & I’d look at it all the time to remind myself the goals I wanted to accomplish. Despite the failures, & the voice telling me I couldn’t do it. I kept going, I did my research, connected myself to a platform that supports & motivates me & I’m running with it!
God blessed me with the opportunity to take this trip & witness such a beautiful union between two families which was sooo heart warming. He gave me the means to explore just a piece of his work and I am so grateful! Best of all, He continuously guides & strengthens me throughout everything & I owe all of the Glory up to him! It’s so amazing to see the blessings I’ve been praying so long for finally manifesting for me!
If you’re on this journey & you have thoughts of giving up just know that you are not alone! Reach out to, & connect with others & embrace the journey! You won’t know it all, you won’t do it perfectly, but consistency & determination will take you a long way!❤️
Let's talk about CRAVINGS! .
If you watched my story today you know I am Struggling with cravings today!! I had a "Keto Cookie" and a couple tablespoons of peanut butter this weekend and it has really triggered my sweet cravings and obsessive thoughts with food. This is something I haven't dealt with in a long time and it's a good reminder why I dont have these types of treats, even occasionally.
I am also reminded that making good food/health choices isnt one decision...it is making many many small (hard) decisions all day long. Today I am also leaning on my support system. You all are a big part of that and this page helps keep me accountable. I have been leaning on Chris and my friends who support my positive eating habits. I decided to forgo fasting today and eat a high protein early lunch to help me feel satisfied. I am also keeping my head in a positive place by listening to podcasts that offer me education and support! I know it's no coincidence that I turned to the most recent Peak Human @foodlies episode that talks about why your brain has cravings and the genetic propensity of obesity. I may have lost the physical weight but this weekend is a reminder that I still have healing to do when fixing my relationship with food.
Fill your stomach and brain with positivity and continue to focus on those minute by minute decisions you face! Thank you all for your support and kind messages! We can get through this together!! 💪🥩❤ #meatheals#worldcarnivoretribe
TRUTH ABOUT MOTIVATION
Everyone over the last few years has come to see a fit and always full of motivational person in me on social media, but social medial often makes people share twisted reality, and I am no different to anyone else. .
We all want to show our best side and portrayhow strong and beautiful we are as often as possible.
But, the reality is, I am human – just like you and everyone else. .
I also have my down moments, and at times very down moments, where I don’t even want to get out of bed. And this brings me to something that I want to share with you all, then how do I manage to stay in a relatively good shape year around!!!!
Below I am sharing my personal life in how it goes up and down in terms of staying in shape.
Over the last few years, I have managed to string together few months at a time of very intense training and diet, which helped me build a very good base and get in the best shape of my life. So, that foundation definitely helps during tough times, when I am not good with training or food.
And about 5 years ago instead of motivation, I started to focus on the word “HABITS “. So, I started to work on developing habits of whatever was going to keep me healthy and in good shape. .
What I have discovered is, habits help you be on auto pilot to do things, whereas motivation comes and goes.
One of the habits I developed over the last few years is, getting up going for a walk. Most days it’s like brushing my teeth. And even when I am not feeling the best, I still usually go for a walk and often I will throw in a weights session too at the end of my walk.
And I feel that’s something that has really helped me to stay in decent shape and also help deal with stress.
Plz do share what habit or motivation has helped you get in shape or keep in shape and what helps you get through tough times and I shall give shoutouts to few of you 😊
