My workout this morning was called Stronger and my online trainer decided to be silent except for cuing the upcoming moves. He wanted us to rely on ourselves for motivation today rather than on him because there are times in our lives when we can count on only ourselves.
It’s about life, not just exercise. We need to know that we have the inner strength it takes to see us through - whatever it is. 💪🏻💕
I often share my results from our 2 year health journey. Today I wanted to share my husbands. I am so grateful that he has joined me. That is NOT always the case. ~Jeff was having a lot of painful stomach issues and had seen a few Doctors, many tests and upper GI, Lower GI, colonoscopy. Nothing solved. ~ At first he wasn’t going to do it with me and at the last minute he changed his mind. ~Our programs are simple
*we drink a Superfoods Shake filled with dense nutrition, digestive enzymes, phytonutrients, prebiotics, probiotics, vitamins, minerals everything your body needs and doesn’t always get from the Normal American diet.
*we have the choice of Nutrition Only OR Nutrition with a workout plan we chose the later
✅ Within the first 10 days Jeff’s pain was going away. Within the first Month he felt great. Of course we have no idea what caused his pain we certainly know what helped it. Drinking the Shake, eating proper nutrition and exercise was the prescription he needed. He has never had any issues since.
✅He is down from a size 40 pants to a size 32 and has stayed within 5lbs if his goal weight for the past 7 months. ♥️ As we age it is so important to move that body and eat heart healthy—to help you avoid disease.
The benefits are Quality of Life ♥️💪 what better motivation can you have. Don’t wait until you are in poor health like I did—start now. ☀️I have another group starting Monday Feb 25th
I have 3 spots left—-What are your Health Goals?
Let’s talk—-Summer is around the corner

Switch!!!! Van's turn for arms and mine for glutes and hamstrings.
Van's curling the heck out of those dumbbells.
Next a collage of me stomping around with walking dumbbell lunges, sumo leg press and lying keg curls.
Final is Van working on tricep push down and barbell curls.
Have a wonderful Friday!!!!!😊💪🤸💕
Today's leg workout:
– warmup by doing 2 sets of 40 steps (20 on each side) with body weight only. - - - -- Then grab some moderate weight dumbbells and do 2 sets of 30 steps (15 each side). - Take deep strides to work glutes and hams more.
Lying Leg Curls
– 3 sets of 10 reps, then a 4th set where you do a drop set – do 10 reps, then drop the weight and go to failure (try for at least 10 again) then drop again and go to failure again (try for at least 10 again). Then do partial reps to failure out of the stretch position (on that last set only). Sumo Leg-Press – 4 sets of 10 reps – feet high and wide. Go down slowly, pause, then fire back up.
Adductor Machine – 3 sets of 12 reps, each with a 1 second flex at contraction

These are potential benefits from using the GEL that I posted about yesterday.
In just two gel dots. Two times a day.
Yes. I am being a bit pushy about this Gel thing.
For those of you who know me...you know I don’t just “push” products to make a sale.
If it can potentially make a difference in your life and health, I’m on it.
If you don’t know me well, I understand your skepticism.
Let’s get to know each other.
Some facts about me.
I was diagnosed about 10 years ago with low thyroid and my hair fell out 😳 today. Hair is back and I’m feeling pretty damn good at 50. The gel is part of my program.
I ❤️ Pilates. But Pilates alone cannot keep me healthy. I owned a Pilates Studio for over a decade called The Vibrant Scoop. ❤️ I am married. And have a Fur Kid that I’m rather obsessed with. Rottie ❤️🐾🐾. My husbands pretty cute too
I graduated from Academy of Culinary Nutrition. I love food and believe in its healing powers.
I’ve been skydiving!! ❤️🔥🔥. Even jumped out of a 727 jet going 220mph at the World Free fall convention back in the day. Made an oxygen jump too!! Those were the days! 😎
I’m kind of 🤓 when it comes to learning about health and moving bodies. I’ve been called the Body Whisperer by clients. 💋 Deb
PS. My friends call me Deb 😉

Have you been struggling to lose fat? Are you feeling like you are doing everything “right”, yet you are not seeing the results you want”
Listen up. Let’s first take a look at what is most likely not the reason, but what we tend to blame it on:
It’s not your metabolism. Can a diagnosed thyroid issue complicate things? Yes, they could, but you can still lose fat. Will it be harder? Maybe. Will your deficit have to be lower? Possibly. My point here is this:
Don’t be like me and blame your metabolism and getting older as the reason you can’t lose fat. It is rarely the cause.
And please don’t think because you eat carbs, or that you eat late at night is the reason either. Because, at the end of the day (literally) what matters is being in a calorie deficit. And please don’t blame the cream in your coffee either. Focus on the things that DO matter. So let’s look at those:
You are not in a calorie deficit. It’s really that simple What may not be as simple is to know why.
One of the biggies for not being in a calorie deficit is not accounting for all of the licks, tastes, and bites that happen throughout the course of a day. Most of the time we don’t count them because we don’t know how The problem is, they add up. Real fast. These alone could be the difference.
Maybe you aren’t being consistent enough. Do a self audit as to what your consistency is for hitting your calories in a given week. If you aren’t at 80% or higher, you have room to improve.
If you are severely restricting foods while in a calorie deficit, and then find your self starving at the late afternoon betwitching hour, you probably grab the bag of chips and have at it. You want to create a sustainable way of living your life forever. Give pizza, donuts and chocolate a little love once in a while.
As we approach a weekend, those 2/3 days could undo everything you did during the week if you don’t have a plan, and you will most likely be starting over yet again on Monday. Maybe eat lighter earlier in the day, maybe give yourself some Bright Lines before you go out. Lots of ways to plan.
Let’s focus on what matters and keep the fat loss train running.

“It makes such a difference, said Pooh, to have someone who believes in you” *** If you listen at the end of the first clip, you’ll hear one of my boys with a surprise comment 😁❤️ *** Isn’t it amazing how much better the journey when you’re not traveling it alone! Makes me ever more grateful for my kids and my #fitfam who lift me up every step of the way.
That’s why I invite you to join us❤️ That riser increases the intensity!!!!

Coming up quickly on the end of Transform:20...round 1....just one more week, after tomorrow, for my Morning Crew....you would think a 20-minute work could not get you what you need...well, I can tell you from experience...you'd be wrong...Shaun T starts out all smiles, but he really makes you DIG DEEP and challenge your limits. At least he has for me. ...
If you are looking for a challenging program to fit into your busy schedule, THIS is it!! Let me help you make the changes I have made for myself.
🔹I am almost 59 years old. I struggled my whole life with my weight, but I finally changed how I feel, how I move, how I look, and how strong I am, all in my 50s.
🔹And I REALLY want you to know you can do it too.
🔹And before you think there is no way you could do that, I want you to know:
➡️I am no one special. I am a plain 'ole regular person.
➡️I am not blessed with “good genetics”, unless you consider heart disease and obesity good genetics. I am very aware of my family history and work every single day to break the cycle.
➡️I am not a gifted athlete. Far from it. Yeah, I rocked a little coed flag football back in the day (I rushed the QB like nobody’s business), but that’s pretty much it. I was a musician, not an athlete.
👉🏻👉🏻So how did I “do it"?
✅I eventually surrounded myself with the right people, and a coach who cares enough to push me out of my comfort zone almost daily. Love you @syattfitness.
✅I dialed in my nutrition. That doesn’t mean I severely cut calories, or restricted certain foods. I didn’t do any of that. I found a nice modest calorie deficit and stayed with it. I was consistent and I didn’t quit when the going got tough, and it did get tough.
✅I didn’t focus so much on losing weight as much as I did on getting as strong as possible in the gym. I gave myself goals, like being able to do chin ups, increasing my deadlift, getting my shoulders as fucking strong as possible.
🔹There were no magic formulas. No shortcuts. I just worked hard, and still work hard every day.
🔹And here’s the thing. YOU can do it too. You don’t have to be an athlete, or even know what to do in the gym. There are plenty of people who can help you with that.
🔹You just need to decide to do it and and most importantly not quit.
👉🏻So no more thinking it’s too late for you. Age has zero to do with you attaining your goals. Get up, dust yourself off, and decide it’s time. It’s never too late to change how you feel, how you move or how you want to look.
You can do this. -
Flip the view. What you’ve seen in the past does not have to be your reality.
YOU, me, and every sister, daughter, aunt, mom, Bff 👯 have the chance to change the expectation and experience of aging as badass babes as long as you believe it, take action ( your weights, your fork) congruent with what you WANT and reject old habits.
You STRONGER inside and out starts with every choice today!!
Please grant me coffee to accept the things I can and yoga to accept the things I can’t.
4 more days until surgery, then 6 weeks of recovery may have me doing lots of yoga... #hysterectomy#midlifewomen#fitafter50
Small things can make a big difference in our life!! 🔹In winter and beginning of spring, many people catch a cold. No one likes to be sick! Although, often, only DISEASE can force a person to change his/her lifestyle. A sick person is a weak person. Helpless. Unhappy.
🔹 The nose is the main gate for air. In the nose there are several filters to clean the air from dust and harmful microorganisms. And warm the air. I will tell you more about the sinuses later in the section “body cleansing”. These filters must be kept clean, as you clean the filters in a vacuum cleaner or car.
🔹 In yoga, this procedure is called "Jala Neti" or simply "Neti". It is simple to do. In 0.5l of warm water (25*-30*) dissolve 1 tea spoon of salt. Pour water into a small teapot with a narrow spout to fit in the nostril. Tilt and turn the head, insert the nozzle into one nostril, slowly pour out half of the water, the water should flow out through the other nostril. Breathe through the mouth. If water gets into the mouth, tilt your head more down. Do not swallow water. To clear the nose - do a sharp but not STRONG exhale through the nose. Turn head to left and right side. Repeat the procedure through the other nostril.
🔸Even children can do it! Better to do it in the morning in the shower. After the procedure, about 20-30 mins DO NOT GO OUT in COLD AIR. Water can continue to come out of the nose for another 15-30 minutes when you bend. For prevention, you can do it once a week. Do 3-5 days in the row if there are many sick people 🤧😪 around. Care about you body and body will serve you long time. Be healthy!🙏 #smarttraining#fitover60#fitover50#fitafter60#fitafter50#yogaafter50#yogaafter60#garagegym#неболейте#зож#реабилитация#rehabilitation#prevention#semivegetarian#neti

I don’t wear mascara every day because I have very sensitive eyes but today I did! I’ve found that L’Oréal Voluminous works as well as the expensive brands and I don’t react to it 💕
Waking up this morning with gratitude! Thankful for the ability to feel healthy and strong. I've spent a lot of time over the past week with my dad who has been rapidly declining from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's and it's got me thinking a lot about never taking your health for granted. Less than 5 years ago my father was 80 years old and could still hike 5 miles with all of us and was most of the time at the front of the group. Now he can barely walk 10 feet on his own and doesn't even remember what he ate 5 minutes ago. I'm not telling you this for sympathy, but rather to remind myself and anyone whose listening that your health is your wealth, so don't take it for granted. Get out and exercise, eat real whole foods and avoid processed food, get your omega 3 fatty acids to support brain health, and have gratitude every morning for another day of life!
It's never too late to start living a healthier lifestyle. Don't wait until next Monday. next year, or any other time in the future. Start making small changes each day so it doesn't seem so overwhelming. Need help getting started? I'd love to teach you everything that has worked for me, so send me over a message. I plan to be hiking mountains at 80, how about you?
TBT from August, I love this shirt, it might be a little clashy w my hair but I always feel happy to wear it 🥰

Never miss a Monday! Even when your half way across the world from your home and normal routine. .
I have to be honest that I haven't even picked up a weight for the past week as we have been traveling all across Italy, but I definitely got a lot of walking in each day. In a way I missed my normal workouts, but also I enjoyed the change in routine. I was happy to hit the gym on the cruise ship today. I was also happy that after a week of eating pasta, pizza, and gelato daily that I still could see my abs. The one thing I have noticed is my body responds well to the food in Europe and I think it is because they don't fortify their flours like in the USA. I really think I need to move here!.
Hope everyone has a great week. I'm trying to take a little time to check my Instagram each day, but my data coverage is limited.
