A delayed post.
This is one of the home remedy I use for my kid's cold, blocked nose etc.
Mustard oil - 1/2 Cup
Garlic pods - 2/3 medium ones or 4/5 small ones crushed
Few whole black pepper corns
A pinch of pacha karpooram(edible camphor) - optional
I don't measure exactly while preparing this.
Warm the oil and add the crushed garlic pods, let it cook for a while or until it starts giving nice aroma and a slight brown color. Do not overcook otherwise it will burn. Add the peppercorns and after a minute switch it off.
Once it cools down but while it is warm, add the edible camphor. Edible camphor can be avoided for kids below 1yr.
Apply this when it is warm(make sure it shouldn't burn the skin) on kid's chest and back, also under feet. Make them wear socks after that.

#the_foodstream_chicago wanted to love this new (conveniently placed!) outpost of a global #ramen chain, and the welcoming interior, friendly staff and broad menu were all promising. But, I am sad to say the ramen itself doesn’t match the standard I have come to expect at the higher end here in Chicago. The broth was heavy-handed with enough #shio flavor to dry your lips (and this was the #garlic#tonkatsu “specialty” broth), while the #pork was a bit to fatty without unctuous flavor. On the other hand, the #karaage chicken, pork #gyoza and #edamame were all tasty and fresh. I will probably give it another try given location, but the first impression wasn’t the best from a core ramen perspective.

"Garlic has been used for colds and the flu for centuries and remains a favorite of herbalists today. Garlic and stimulate the immune system to reduce the severity of the illness, break up lung congestion, and even address ear infections.
It's important to take garlic's energetics into account when using it as an herbal remedy. I you've ever taken a bit of raw garlic, then it will come as no surprise to you that this is a hot herb. After taking that bite of raw garlic and noticing the heating sensation on your tongue, you might also notice your sinuses starting to run.
Both garlic's heating and pungent aromatic properties break up mucus in the body. This makes garlic perfect for cold and flu symptoms that include feelings of coldness and for symptoms of congestion in the sinuses and lungs."

LEMON GARLIC BUTTER STEAK AND BROCCOLI SKILLET @deliciousfoodvideos
Recipe credit📸 @eatwell101
1 1/2 lb (650g) sirloin steak, sliced against the grain
2 broccoli florets
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons butter or ghee
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/4 cup (60ml) low-sodium beef broth
1/4 cup chopped parsley + or garnish
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
Salt and fresh cracked pepper, to taste
Fresh thyme, for garnish
The steak marinade
1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce (or coconut amino if you’re strictly paleo)
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce (or any hot chili sauce you like)
Combine the ingredients for the marinade in a shallow plate or bowl Add the steak strips into the marinade and allow to marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to one hour. In the meantime, wash and break down the broccoli heads into florets. Blanch the florets into boiling water for 1 or 2 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Bring the steak to room temperature and heat oil and one tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat — reserve the juices of the marinade for later. Add the steak strips in one layer and season with salt and pepper. Cook for one minute without stirring, then stir the steak strips for another minute or two to cook the other side. Remove the steak strips from the skillet and set aside to a plate. In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, beef broth, and remaining marinade juices. Bring to a simmer and allow to reduce for 2-3 minutes, stirring regularly. Stir in the fresh parsley, then add the broccoli florets and toss for three to four minutes. Add the steak strips back to the pan to reheat for another minute. Serve immediately with thyme, chili flakes, more parsley and lemon slices. Enjoy!
