GIVEAWAY! ... One major change I've made is attempting to wear less makeup. But not long ago, I was rarely seen without makeup; even at the gym. ... My skin took beating. When bigger, I would get blemishes all the time due to eating poorly. I was also HORRIBLE at removing my makeup at night and would often sleep with it on and wake up with marks. ... Once I started working out again, I would put on concealer and foundation to cover minor blemishes, then sweat at the gym which would cause more blemishes, then I would use makeup to cover them up which would lead to even more blemishes. It was a frustrating cycle. As you can see in the colour version of the photo, I was definitely covering stuff up (left). I used to think it looked good, but looking back, I prefer my bare skin (right). ... I started going to @boujee.beauty.boutique for lash extensions, and felt more "put together" without wearing makeup, which started helping my skin overall. I didn't feel like I *had* to put any makeup on, which helped clear up my skin. I also switch my entire skincare routine to @eauthermaleaveneca which drastically helped repair my skin. Ever been on that gym grind and you're feeling on top of the world for awhile and then all of a sudden you hit a plateau⁉️ . I have been there before, but here are a few tips if you've hit a plateau. It's common (and normal) so don't beat yourself up about it⬇️ . ➡️Increase the Intensity - Sometimes we hit a plateau because we have been at the same level of intensity for a bit too long. You might need to increase the number of sets or reps you're doing . ➡️Hydrate - I mention this one because far too often we are not hydrated enough and it really hits a lot of aspects of our fitness if we don't stay hydrated. Guzzle up more water and see if it helps . ➡️Vary Your Routine - Switch up your routine and do something different. Do some full body workouts a few times a week instead of splitting muscle groups and see how your body reacts. Also, even a different way of exercising is a nice change, like boxing, kickboxing, etc. . . ➡️Change the Order of Your Exercies - This was a game changer for me. I started doing biceps first instead of back first and really it does make a difference if you're stuck on a plateau . ➡️Rest - Take a week off and RELAX. Overtraining can have some pretty negative effects on the body and mind, including risk for injury. So take that much needed time off . . These are just some tips that have helped me on a plateau. {NEW} Quick Chef Salad Meal Prep 🌱 Just threw 8 of these together for our next few days ahead. 🙌 The main idea here is to keep it SIMPLE! I used all ingredients that we had on hand. Chopped, assembled and sealed-up and in the fridge within 20 minutes! For EACH one serving you'll need: Ingredients: 2 cups thin sliced Romaine lettuce 4-5 cherry or grape tomatoes 6-8 slices of fresh cucumber 1-2 slices of nitrate-free deli turkey 1-2 slices of nitrate-free, uncured deli ham 1 hard boiled egg 1 Tbsp. shredded cheese SIMPLE Dressing ideas: 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar, or fresh squeezed lemin juice sea salt and fresh black pepper to taste Instructions: Rinse lettuce and allow to air dry VERY well before making your salads. Wrap turkey and ham around each other and roll-up tightly. Slice into little pinwheels as shown. Arrange salads nicely into glass meal prep containers and sprinkle with fresh cracked sea salt and black pepper. Immediately before serving, drizzle with oil and vinegar of choice. Your salad should stay good in the fridge for 3-4 days if sealed well. Make certain that all of your veggies are COMPLETELY dry before storing because moisture will make them soggy! Enjoy! ❤Rachel
