Movie: Spider-Man (2002)
Actors: Tobey Maguire, Willem Dafoe, Kirsten Dunst
Review: Sam Raimi has directed one of the best Comic book movies all time, this movie has paved the wave for comic book movies and marvel movies in general, one the reasons I love this movie so much is because of the heart and depth that Tobey puts in into his character Peter Parker. When peters uncle Ben dies we see peters reaction he’s completely heart broken right then n there peter knew that his uncles death was on him and that anger driven motivation moved him to find his uncles killer immediately, Sam did a great job directing that scene. Now one of he most important things about this movie is the birth of Spider-Man, As soon peter gets his powers he starts jumping off buildings and climbing on walls that scene wasn’t the birth o Spider-Man, that scene when he saves marry Jane wasn’t the birth of Spider-Man, that scene when he fights the green goblin wasn’t the green goblin, But the final swing at the end of the movie is the birth of Spider-Man we see that peter was in realization of his responsibilities and he finally knew that this was a job, peter continues to say “this my gift, my curse who am i Spider-Man” and the movie ends with a glorious swinging scene no matter who you prefer Tobey will always be Spider-Man.
