The tedious process of submitting a job application, acing a series of interviews and surviving reference checks ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
has paid off. It’s a step up for you, and you’re excited ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
about what’s in store for your career.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You’re probably thinking about making a great ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
first impression on your new team, hitting that first ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Your first three months is the time to prove yourself, to show that you’re capable of doing everything you said in your interview, and more. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Essentially, it’s the time to put your money where your mouth is. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But, unfortunately, an astonishing 20% of people fail ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
their trial period. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Cara yang dapat Anda lakukan dalam menjalankan strategi ini ada banyak yang
dapat dilakukan misalnya:
2. Kecepatan respon
3. Kemasan produk yang menarik
4. Ruang tunggu yang nyaman
5. Penanganan keluhan yang cepat dan tanggap

What do y’all think? Was this guy wrong by complimenting her? Could it be it was just a wrong timing? Or do you think the world has just become so insensitive that we do not know who’s being be nice or a jerk/inappropriate?
You will agree with me that human beings are different. Apart from the fact that God made it so, background and experiences have also shaped people and given them very different and diverse opinions on situations. As such, what may be acceptable to one person may very well not be acceptable to another person.
As a candidate, it is extremely important for you to know that while you are applying to a company for a job, you are actually dealing with a person on the other end. A person with emotions, opinions and his/her own perception on all things generally. It is a person that would review your resume, shortlist you, invite you for an Interview, facilitate the interview, and eventually make a decision. A person!
This means that what may be permissible during a recruitment process by one person may very well not be by another person. This is also why the resume you sent to company A and was passed over, is the same resume that got you the job with company 2.
This is also why it is so important for one to err on the side of caution, and stick to best practice always. Applying and interviewing for a job is not the time to try out what you watched in a movie on netflix. It is also not the time to crack jokes, make funny comments and definitely not the time to pass an inappropriate compliment, like " you smell nice ". Stick to what is popularly viewed as permissible.
I have seen someone's resume being tossed aside because it looked "too colorful". I have seen a candidate being rejected because she "engaged in a fun banter with the ceo"and the staff believed it showed disrespect. I have seen a candidate being interpreted as too forward because he accepted the cup of tea offered to him during the interview. I have also seen a candidate rejected because he was too serious and didnt even lighten up at all. It all boils down to one person's opinion of what is acceptable and not.
So when next you are considering a job application, try very hard to create a nice balance. Stay clear of anything that can be misinterpreted, and if you have to ask yourself if it could be misunderstood , then chances are it would.
Truth. Managing my thoughts has been a journey for the past decade ever since I had my spiritual awakening and realized how our thoughts create our reality. And when I’m not managing my thoughts (because there’s 75,000-150,000 of them a day) I’m paying attention to the way I feel and then making conscious effort to feel better. It all comes down to our thoughts and emotions, and then to the action we take. .

Today marks three years to the day that I started with my current company. I got rid of 80% of the things I owned, hopped in a car and drove 14 hours to Dallas, Texas to work in an industry and in a role that I quite frankly knew nothing about. My hiring manager nor hiring VP had ever saw me in person prior to 3/14/2016 so imagine the shock in the office when the new girl Brittany was starting her first day 😅😅 Over the course of these last years working in Human Capital Management and helping build strategies for companies to drive revenue around their employees., I’ve learned A LOT about the inner workings of companies in regards to employment. Regardless if you work in a small company or one with thousands, it’s hard enough to navigate Corporate America, and can be harder as a minority. From a strategist to you here are some things to always consider
1. You are capital. Period. It doesn’t matter the role. There is a dollar amount tied to you.
2. Don’t be afraid to manage your managers. Let them know what you need from them. This is the first time there have been five generations in the workforce and we all value different things so learn to stand your ground and speak up for yourself and take charge of your career development. The better trained/developed you are the likelihood the company makes more money off of you but also the higher chance you have at moving up or bargaining when it’s time for that raise (or new job salary)
3. The unemployment rate is at 3.4% right now and predicted to get to 3.0 by 2020. It’s an employee’s market. 90% of companies are getting more creative and putting more funds into salaries, benefits and perks. ALWAYS NEGOTIATE
4. Soft skills such as creativity, persuasion collaboration and time management are very high in demand. Make sure these are buzzwords on resume and interviews as well as being able to speak to them well. If you use these skills outside of work bring them to the office.
