Do you enjoy climbing? It’s such a different challenge from flats. My head (or legs, I suppose?) says what are doing, no need for this, but you just have to say stfu and keep pushing. The last time I came to Griffith Park, I didn’t make it up here, so this is a hell of a personal achievement today. Shoutout to he friendly tourist who took the photo.
When you're out on a cycling 'randonnée' with no pressure, just fun on bicycles, enjoying the moment, stopping at junctions to wait for your mates... or check the GPS to avoid 'hors parcours' (6th or 7th at this point 😅) and you get this amazing light that brightens the bliss of this sport even more 🤩

This was meant to be my #mondaymotivation post with a really upbeat motivational quote but being honest the reality this morning was far from a beautiful day on a beautiful bike..
I had to force my tired cranky body out of bed to jump on the turbo. I ached so badly from squeezing into aero position yesterday that even zone 2 was a struggle. I spent the last 5mins of the cool down crying. Probably just with relief that I’d got it done before the madness of Monday overwhelmed me..
I know I’m not unique, there are hundreds of you out there doing exactly the same thing. Juggling jobs, family, training and racing. It got me thinking that Im really good at sharing all the good stuff but maybe you don’t see enough of the daily grind? 🤔
I’m not moaning or complaining though because it’s my choice, It’s not my job. I do this for fun! I suppose I just wanted to let you know that I find it hard balancing everything but every day I remind myself of what I’m working towards and that is my motivation 🙌🏻💫
Last year I wrote a blog called ‘training on limited time’ Link at the top of the page in my bio or and over at www.duathlongirl.co.uk so if you get a few minutes have a read and let me know what you think?
Have a great week & keep working towards those goals ✨

"A picture from the otherworldly Atacama Plateu in Argentina earlier this year. The mighty Bonete Chico, 6759m, in the background. I climbed it six years ago. This time I just passed by.
Beautiful piece of road, huh!?" | Regranned from @lostcyclist

"[ENG] 🗻🏕 We camped in front of one of the highest active volcanoes of the world. We left Quito on our bikes and took an unpaved road full of steep climbs. It took us 2 days to ride 50 km until we entered the natural park that protects the Cotopaxi, one of the most emblematic peaks of the country. We set up our tents in the cold, at 3.800 m.a.s.l., while we waited for the clouds and the strong winds to clear our view of the legendary conical silhouette. Even though we were not lucky this time, the roads and the landscape left us a singular memory of our journey in Ecuador. 🇪🇨
🇪🇨" | Regranned from @bicionarios
