My oh my does God works in mysterious ways... about a year ago I took a leap of faith and joined a company I knew very little about other than I was in LOVE with the products. In a short period time I learned that God had blessed me with what I had longed for for so long… A GIRL TRIBE!!! Months later I started a new job and quickly became overwhelmed with working, raising three boys, being a wife, and running a household. My business and girl tribe fell to the waste side and became non-existent. At first I felt relieved that I didn’t have ‘something else’ that I needed to divide my time into, but that feeling of relief quickly faded and I felt like I had nothing that filled my cup. And as the saying goes, “ you can’t pour from an empty cup”; I began searching and praying for ways to fill it up again.
Gratefully I didn’t have to search very hard. God has made it so evidently clear that what he brought me to a year ago is still there—My business, my girl tribe, my cup filler! I am so blessed to have the opportunity to change my families legacy and to fulfill my passion for helping other women do the same. I know I’ve been a bit MIA the past few weeks, but a lot was happening. I got sick with a really bad virus and shortly after a close friend of my Dad’s passed away unexpectedly. This was all happening in the midst of a lot of progress I was making, but I needed to take a step back to reflect on my life and experience as much of it as I can. I haven’t had a really fun night in a long time until this night pictured here. It was my one year anniversary with my best friend and I was so happy that day, if you can’t already tell by my double chin that tends to come out when I’m giddy with joy. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs over the past year and this man makes the bad times seem so small in the grand scheme of things. I’m so lucky to have him by my side when things get rough and even more so when I feel on top of the world. I’m so proud of him and was able to see the show he was in this past week three times. He blows me away each time I see him on the stage. I can’t wait for the next show he is a part of and for all the experiences life will take us on. Being healthy isn’t just about working out and eating right. 17.1 - my first Open workout. It was my first trip to the Pain Cave. It was the first time I truly tapped into what I am both physically and mentally capable of achieving. It hurt like hell. But, damn, it felt good.

So, quinoa! This is a superfood packed with nutrition to help get you through your day! It is well-rounded, containing fat, fiber, and protein to help keep you full.
In one serving alone, it has around 6 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. Perfect for your lunch with some veggies!
Quinoa is also a great source of manganese, which is a lesser known, but really important nutrient.
Also containing a good amount of folate, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, copper, and potassium, this awesome grain is the perfect choice for any meal. P.S., it's actually a seed, not a grain! Not being made from wheat, it doesn't contain any gluten.

The last few weeks before I left I was feeling so anxious like I didn’t have enough time in the day. Overwhelmed is the best way to say it but I’m human like all of us right? I’m learning to set work aside and truly enjoy my off time with my family/ friends without work distractions! I love you all but a girl needs a break sometimes ☺️

LEG DAY = FAVORITE DAY
Today I pushed myself & did 20 reps of 140lbs on leg press! & did 35lbs pounds each side, so 70lbs total on walking lunges! My strength is FINALLY back to where I was before the holidays & getting sick so many times in a row. & I couldn’t be happier. Life has been really tough lately and today’s workout was so much needed. My coach @laurenhessfitness, reminded me the other day that fitness is something I LOVE doing. It’s not another chore, it’s not something I have to do, but rather it’s something I want to do. I have to stop myself from getting so stressed that I even stress how I’m going to fit my workout into my busy schedule. It’s in my schedule becuase I love it, becuase it’s the one thing that is keeping me sane through these emotional roller coasters I’ve been riding lately. And today, I felt it. I felt the burden get lifted off my shoulders, I’m back. And I’m coming back even stronger. (This May not make sense to any of y’all, but life has been anything but easy lately, so that’s where there is all stemming from)
