Just lying down on the job 🙃......
After destroying my shoulder a couple years back, strong 5k swim this am was brought to you by keeping on top of the little things (pre-habbing) that have become way more important (and harder at times for me) then muscling through the big stuff!! Time consuming yes, but knowing letting them go can mean letting go of the big things, means : WE ARE ON IT!! Thanks to PSM for always guiding the way and thinking of new sport specific challenges + not letting me cheat :) #fridayfeels#fundamentals#presidiosportsandmedicine#suuntoteam#justpartofthefurniture
First outside run in 4months. No hip pain. No hip pain at all! Omg I am very happy about the progress of my rehab. Did over 6 miles and still stayed under an 8 mile pace with some small sprints into sub 7. I haven't felt my legs been this strong in a long time. Totally stoked and still have 5 months of training to go for Ironman 70.3 Couer d'Alene. #triathlon#recovery#run#runner#swimbikerun#ironman#hair

Coach Gary captured a few frames today during a set of hard 100s. Speed is there but not so much the endurance 😂 looking forward to putting in some 12-15k weeks to get my mojo back.
I've been into sports since the moment I could walk. After some serious injuries in football, I switched to no-contact sports & ended up running & biking. 6 years ago, it was a colleague at work who was organizing a small, local Olympic-distance Triathlon, & he invited all of us for the event. I thought, "why not?" So I just gave it a try. But after I ended up finishing 3rd in my AG that day - I was hooked. I had found something I could become really passionate about again.
I soon realized that my strengths are in the longer distances, so I did my first 70.3 in Zell 2015, where the WC was held on the same weekend. I was so fascinated by that event, I almost couldn't enjoy my own race day because I wanted to see the best in the world the next day. It was unreal for me, at that moment, to even think that I could be part of the WC at some point.
Now, a few years later, I’m still fully into Triathlon. It just gives me so much energy! And I use it as the perfect counterpart to my office job - where I'm not moving at all throughout the day. I can reboot my systems within minutes of training, & I’m fresh at work again.
However, as a really competitive human being, I challenged myself over the years from season to season & my old memories came back last year, & I noticed that I really could do it on a perfect day. I could become part of the Worlds. So the project was born – #RoadToNice2019. I want to start at the World Champs once in my life. At Bahrain last year in December, I launched my first serious attempt, where I ended up 10th with a total time of 4:29.
At the slot allocation, I needed to face life the hard way when I was the first in my AG to not get a coin for Nice. And the guy who placed 9th was in front of me by only 43 seconds!
That moment was a huge setback, but I told myself that - it must not make you stop chasing your dreams. I'm still on my mission, I’m still burning for Nice, & I know I can do it! So can you! Go out & prove the naysayers wrong! ~ Patrick Sibetz [@pat.sibi]

Time to conquer the world with @dare2tri_international 😍💪😁 How did my adventure with Dare2tri begin? Last year I discovered that company thanks to Marcin from Dare2tri Poland, tested and bought Mach3 - it was the first wetsuit that felt as if it was made exactly for me.
So happy that my favorite wetsuit company will support me in upcoming season! #teamdare2tri 👑

Spent 218 quality minutes in the saddle today. Starting to ramp up the duration of my rides and get the leggies used to spinning while fatigued. And with no end to winter❄in sight, @gozwift and the wonderful world of Watopia will continue to be my run🏃♀️/bike🚴♀️ sanctuary. Training for Ironman Santa Rosa from the comfort of my home may not be ideal, but you gotta do what you gotta do - and I choose to do it with gratitude and a smile 😊 #indoortraining#gozwift#RideOn#ironmantraining#paincave#gozwifttri
