I can see and feel the difference in myself. I am still trying to stay lean and improve myself everyday. It's not easy to stay lean the whole year round and gain muscles as fast as I want to but I am determined to try. It hasn't been a quick process but just got to keep on going!"
This mare here... she has a barn, a manger full of hay, yet here she is, pawing in the windswept pasture for a few bits of fescue.... what a girl. She frequently has me out there, checking on her... making sure she is ok, she likes it out here, by herself, I guess. 🤷🏻♂️but...Maybe it’s a ploy to get me out here to pet her? She sure soaks it up when I come out to greet her! 🤠. Happy Tuesday y’all ! .

Taking whatever is thrown at you and rolling with it is what Strongman is all about, you get hit, get up and hit back harder👊👊
Injuries are often seen as a set back for an athlete, which they are in a way, but in the same way they give you a chance to focus on other aspects as you heal and advance on to more movements.
Because I have to crank down on the weight until I'm 100% it gives me a chance to target some areas of my technique, like my log push press.
Just because you have an injury doesn't mean you can't grind anymore, and it doesn't mean all those people who said “oooh that's too dangerous” are right, it just means that you have to be real with yourself for a hot minute and figure out where you suck and fix it.
It's the middle of February and I took a moment to look back at my New Year goals to see if I'm on the right path towards accomplishment, or was I on a "New Year high" with what I wrote and being super ambitious? 😂 .
One of my goals was to journal more frequently this year....
Anddd I've written in a journal this year.....ONCE. 😩
BUT, it took me some time to realize that my blog @_theabnormallife is actually a form of journaling for me.
It may not be the typical pen to paper way, but it's very therapeutic for me. The best thing is having the ability to share my experiences in all of it's authenticity with you.
I said ALL that to remind you and myself that our goals may not come in the form that we have planned, but be open to different paths of how that opportunity or goal may come!
