Phynix Moment #27 - I fell of the wagon with my posts as I have been in locked down at a #SpeakersInstitute workshop over the weekend. So today's post is about get back on the wagon and continuing on.
Sometimes we set ourselves goals or resolutions for how we are going to change our habits or do things differently and then we slip up just one time and we go straight to "well I knew I wasn't going to do it" or "I always stuff this up" or "I may as well give up now". Making changes is hard work and it can take lots of attempts for the changes to stick. Just like when you are learning to ride a bike, you don't normally get it the first go. You fall off and then get back on the bike and keep trying until get it.
QUICK BEGINNERS BOXING CARDIO WORKOUT
1st video: warm-up
BOXER BOUNCE: (2 rounds of 60 second bouts) 3 Hops to front foot staying on the balls of feet, then alternate the lead foot.
2nd video: warm-up continuation
SHADOW BOXING: ( two 60sec rounds)
Keeping punching for entire minute, try to focus on breathing and footwork/balance.
3rd video: work out
MUSCULAR ENDURANCE: (two 60sec rounds)Choose light weights, anywhere from 2-5lbs. Start throwing jabs (rapid fire) until arms start to fatigue, then throw uppercuts. Alternate the entire minute between punch selections.
4th and 5th videos: workout continuation
BAG WORK: ( 2 60 sec rounds)
Focus on footwork and breathing initially used in the warmup. For BEGINNERS, start with a jab with lead hand/foot and then a punch thrown from across the body, known as a 1-2 combo. Do this until time expires.
COMMENTS: I've taken up boxing as another way to workout for about, roughly three months now. I'm by no means very good, but I'm trying to learn how to do it effectively.
Analyzing myself from the bag work 1st video, I noticed that I was off balance and throwing the left hook too wide. I focused on fixing this on the second video and cleaned it up a little bit.
With that being said, when we get out of our comfort zone and try something new. We will most definitely have difficulty and not be as good as we want to be in the beginning. But if we stick with it through the frustrations and learn from our mistakes, we will eventually overcome the challenges and become successful in our lives, dreams, and activities!!! #keeplearning#keepfighting#keepmoving#keeptrying#keepliving
This is sooo true!! Don’t you agree? I learnt that it was amazing to have dreams.... but they weren’t going to come true unless I faced my fears and made a plan to MAKE IT HAPPEN!! Growing up I was a HUGE dreamer. But I never believed they can actually come true. Can you relate to this? Then I got to a point of telling myself it’s time to get to work and create the life I want and love.

Day 145: Today was pretty fun and chill. Lol usually Sunday’s are boring and little bit depressing (cause school is the next day😓) but today I relaxed, watched some anime, ate, and just spent time by myself... I’ve been going through a rough patch with my girlfriend (I’ll explain some other day) and was gonna break up with her tmrw, but surprisingly she hit me up 30 minutes ago (after purposely not opening my text for 24 hrs). I’ll reply to her message later cause I honestly don’t know what I’m gonna do with her😓... oh and a close friend of mine posted a nude photo of herself on Instagram and had the nerve to blow up on me when I told her to take it down; then fucking decided to decline my calls... I was so furious. So fucking sick of caring for ‘friends’ and constantly getting disrespected. I felt like cutting her out my life and leaving her in the past but a side of me still like cares for her... even though she does so many fucked up things tht I can’t stand... anyways, she FaceTimed me today, I answered, then hung up after 2seconds. Why? Cause I felt like it, lol. This was a lot but I kinda had to vent. Goodnight guys 😴❤️✌️
Doing what I do best... Trying!
This is my first attempt ever at this one handed handstand. Of course I had great guidance from @alaskan.pig_
Bottom line is, if you never try, you never know 🤷🏽♀️ 📸 @alaskan.pig_
