SQUAT // Box Squat
Stage two of the squat progression is using a box, step or bench. Using any of the following will allow you to confidently sit back into the squat, knowing that sitting down will be the outcome.
Starting this movement with a high box and gradually lowering the height will allow you to increase your range while keeping the same motion throughout.
There are two variations in the video shown;
First, sitting completely onto the box. This will allow your muscle to relax before driving back up. Second, only making slight contact with the box, keeping the pressure in the muscles and working you more.
Remember to keep your weight in the heel of your foot and your knees behind your toes.
Starting to bench like competition. Confirmed that 80kg is rpe9. Very humbling to see what was lightweight turn heavy.

Last heavy deadlift before @gpcaustralia QLD state titles next weekend ✌️ 170kg for a top single 😀 followed with 2 doubles at 160kg and a double at 150kg. Who thinks I can improve upon my current 182.5kg PB!? 💕

I think faster and slower tempos lead to similar muscle growth you just have to control the eccentric phase,i prefer to add weight then doing superslow reps.
Next time ill try to get a clean pr with a better form.

One flexed and one between poses. This is the heaviest I have been but also the best conditioned for this weight. Pretty happy with how I’m going.
