I used to have this belief that to be slim was incredibly hard.
That women who were slim were somehow depriving themselves.
I had a real envy of naturally slim women yet I believed it had to be a struggle for me to be like them.
Whenever I saw a naturally slim woman I had already made up a story in my head about how she must have a fast metabolism or great willpower or deprive herself.
I was constantly sabotaging what I actually wanted.
But I wasn't consciously aware of these repeating thoughts until I payed attention.
So despite wanting to be slim, the reality I kept experiencing was struggle around food and my weight.
No matter what I tried I would keep gaining back the same 20 pounds over and over.
I just didn't want to keep fluctuating anymore. It was embarrassing! I just wanted peace from it all.
So what can you do about it? Awareness!
Start with a non-judgemental, curiousity of the thoughts that go through your head.
Start to question those thoughts and know that you have the power to shift those thoughts to something that aligns with what you do want.

Boy oh boy. I’m starting to feel less motivated to post on here. This whole losing weight and getting fit thing is so hard! I love working out and I love feeling healthy and happy but it’s not easy. My working out game has been on point ..I love working out ..it helps me feel happy when I’m feeling down ..it makes me feel relaxed when I’m stressed ..and it makes me feel pretty when I’m not feeling cute. BUT this whole eating clean 90% of the time is freaking hard!! There are temptations everywhere and I feel like I can’t go out and hang with friends without letting myself enjoy whatever food I want but then when I eat unhealthy I feel crappy and down on myself! I’m really trying to find the balance but I feel like I don’t do well when I let myself eat what I want because then it turns into too many cheat meals and snacking. I think I have to do like a month challenge of some sort in order to break some of these habits and cravings. I’ll figure out one of these days in the meantime I’m going to keep working my but off an never giving up. DONT NEGLECT THE BOOBIES
Most females skip chest day because they feel like chest training should be left for the males. A myth that most women believe is that “if you work your chest your boobs will get smaller.” LIE! Actually working your chest will make your boobs visually larger which is what most women want💁🏼♀️Your chest is a muscle that needs to be trained just like every other muscle in the body. SOOOO never skip chest day my ladies! 💕
My body and I have been on quite the journey together .. from an eating disorder in highschool, to being hospitalized a couple years ago .. it’s gotten me through a lot of tough times. Today, my body lifts weights, eat carbs, and loves to dance! I am proud of my body and when I look at this photo I see a super woman! 👊🏼❤️☀️ #IAmWoman

How to get started at the gym
When we first transition into weight lifting seeing all of the equipment and new face can be extremely intimidating!
We feel as though everyone is staring at us and waiting for us to make a mistake... I know girl, I was there when I first stated.
Here are a 3 tips that helped me feel more comfortable in a gym setting when I first started.
1️⃣Know your equipment: have an employee from the gym, or a friend walk through the entire gym with you so that you can see what equipment is available and where it’s located. This helps you avoid running around during your workouts feeling lost.
2️⃣Have a plan: it is ALWAYS more helpful to have a set workout plan before walking into the gym. If you are just getting started I really suggest you stray away from just winging it. Once you have structured workout plan, be sure to look up the movements before you go to the gym. If you aren't familiar with the form of a certain exercise looking up videos before hand will help avoid feelings of nervousness.
3️⃣MINDSET:This could very well be the most important tip of all. Before you walk into the gym get yourself into a positive mindset. ➡️You may feel as though everyone is staring at you THEY'RE NOT, trust me.
➡️Remember NO ONE was an expert when they first started- even the fittest person at the gym had to LEARN the same movements you are learning now.
➡️finally be proud of the effort you are making! You are making a positive change in your life and that is worth pushing past the discomfort. Remember love, if it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.

"und wie mach ich das mit der Eifersucht?"
.. wurde ich heute in meinem Kurs von einer Teilnehmerin gefragt. Tja, wie geht man um mit dieser Leidenschaft die mit Eifer sucht was Leiden schafft?
Gar keine so leichte Frage und doch eine, deren Antwort viel von uns in ihrem Alltag wohl weiterhelfen würde.
Denn Eifersucht und Neid blockieren. Sie lassen uns mit missgünstigem Blick auf das Wohlergehen Andere blicken und dabei das eigene Glück vergessen. Ich habe für mich gelernt Neid nicht mehr als fieses Gefühl im Herzen zuzulassen, sondern ihn mir von außen mit respektvollen Abstand erst einmal genau anzusehen. Auf was genau bin ich neidisch? Warum kommt jetzt die Eifersucht?
Oft denkt man, dass Anderen alles zufliegt, sie mehr Glück haben... doch hinter vielen Erfolgen steckt tatsächlich harte Arbeit und wenn ich etwas unbedingt will, muss ich bereit sein mich dafür anzustrengen - bin ich das nicht, ist das ein sehr gutes Zeichen dafür, dass ich es nicht wirklich brauche.
Und spielt es überhaupt eine Rolle, warum jemand schöner, schlauer, stärker, reicher ist als man selbst? Ich glaube nicht, denn es mach dich selbst weder besser noch schlechter. Denn du bist wie du bist - ziemlich sicher auf deine Art und Weise ganz wundervoll ♥️ 📸@stefan_traeger_photography
I joined slimming world in 2015 thinking my body was disgusting & I was ashamed of myself. The first picture is 2016 after losing almost 3 stone, a lot of people will say I look so much better in that picture (people who believe being skinny is number 1). .
What nobody knows is I was miserable. I NEVER went out, I NEVER ate a takeaway, I would only go on a date night with my darling other half if they had something on the menu ‘I could eat’. I kept thinking “I need to lose more I’m still not pretty enough” I was in a horrible, brutal mindset but I was skinny so I smiled. I look ill 💭
.. I have struggled so much over the years with my weight just like so many other beautiful women who have fell victim to the size 8 perfect image. .
The second picture as you know, taken last week and I’ve never been happier. I feel fabulous, I’m healthy & I absolutely LOVE my body. I have rolls, I have cellulite, my thighs jiggle with every step and I love it all. The mindset I have finally found is happiness. Isn’t that what is most important in life? .
So many beautiful people want to be skinny and good for you darlings if that is where your happy place is. Everyone is different and a lot of people will think I don’t look half as good as the 2016 picture and that’s ok. I’m happy. I love myself. I am enough. .
Midweek blues are always a strong thing and I just want you to know no matter what your journey is you are enough and you are smashing life. .
You have no idea how much I appreciate the love and support I get from complete strangers who are now my friends, I adore having you and I hope to always be able to return the love 🖤👯♀️✨
