I love this lunge variation. I used to do it with the loose barbell but now I use the Smith for more weight. Step back almost like a curtsey. I do 3x16 90 lbs. on each side. Try it next leg day 🦵🏻

🤷🏻♀️ Have you ever been felt cursed because of the genetics you were born with?
For the longest time, I blamed genetics for the reason why it was so hard for me to build muscle. 💪🏻People would say that someone with my body type will never have definition. But being born that way isn’t necessarily a gift or a curse; we have the ability to make changes. And of course, the most important changes are on the inside, mentally, nutritionally, and from physical strength.
I look at progress in a much more healthy way now; more focused on how I FEEL, listening to my body and making sure I nourish it the right way. It wasn’t until I started really working on nutrition and eating the RIGHT foods along with my strength training plan that I started seeing progress. Not to mention nourishing my body the right way was the start of me loving myself enough to take the time to eat well, no matter how hectic or crazy my schedule became.
I started eating the things that made me feel good inside, focusing on proper nutrition. I don’t know about you, but eating a lot of junk food makes me feel awful, so again it’s going back to listening to your body. My body feels the best with a combo of: ✅ minimally processed foods ✅ lots of fresh vegetables ✅ good fats like nuts, and avocados ✅ whole grains and low G.I. carbs
