Real talk - I used to be the queen of excuses and procrastination. Take starting my YouTube channel for example. First, I said I needed a camera. Got my camera. Then I said I needed lighting. Got my lighting. Then I said I needed a designated filming space. Got a whole separate room. Then I said I didn’t have enough time and it wasn’t the right time.
You name it, I said it. And guess what? None of those things made any difference. All of those excuses just turned into years of not taking action on my dream.
Then I became a mom. I needed to make room for my baby so I gave up my filming room and turned it into his nursery. And time? Well, I laugh when I think back to when I “thought” I had “no time”. Now I knew what it really meant to have no time. But guess what? On top of being a new mom and wife and full-time employee, I also started my YouTube channel. Was it the right time?
Well the right time was 5 years prior when I first wanted to start. But the second best time to start was right at that moment when I finally got tired of all of my excuses and just jumped in before I was “ready” or it was the “right time”. I realized that even with the equipment and the space and the luxury of time, the one thing I was missing was just STARTING! Just taking that first step.
I didn’t need the perfect equipment or set-up. I didn’t need a perfectly laid out plan. I didn’t need to know what would come of it. All of those things were just holding me back or rather I allowed them to because the simple truth was I was scared.
The thing is all excuses stem from fear. And excuses make us feel safe. Once you are aware of and understand this, you can get to work on facing it and taking action, which is the only thing that is going to squash these crippling fears. So change your focus from fear to action because you CAN and MUST make that dream happen!
The kiddos didn't have school today so I slept in😴 Rest is good for your body! But then I helped with the chickens 🐥 And pushed play!!! I went ahead and crushed the 5 mile walk DVD 👟 since I had some extra time. Now, get something healthy cooking in the crockpot, shower and head to work!!! Happy President's Day!

It was pitch dark outside, heavy raindrops graciously danced upon the brim of my black hat, my black, drenched trench coat was the only source of clothing to keep my body warm.
Well I am behind in my workouts. Why? Why because I made up every excuse to not workout or eat healthy. I let life take over. 😒. Not a good enough reason. I felt it today in my workout. .
I got up this am and did my workout first thing, before I could make an excuse of why I should not. I love how I feel after I workout. It make for a better day, and I have so much more energy thru out the day. *
I am going to focus next to weeks on kicking butt in every workout and focusing on my nutrition. One day at a time, one meal at a time. #nevermissamonday
I went into 2019 with a new goal. ✔
A goal of pushing myself in a way that I've never really pushed...using resistance bands. 👊
So far, I'm impressed! A new kind of pump, a new kind of sore and a new kind of growth.💪
