Post gym selfie. Following the news yesterday that my leg is not fractured I continued with the adapted marathon plan. Knowing that it is not a bone issue means I need to explore a possible treatment from a physio.
The @manchestermarathon is on the horizon and still has the potential to be an achievable target depending on how much longer it takes for me to be able to run. If the injury takes a while then it's cool, there are other marathons, I'm not going to push myself when I'm not back to full fitness. A bigger injury is not what anybody wants.
This morning was a repeat of the first strength session I did last week with a slight increase in weight. Followed this with a session on the elliptical/cross trainer
Good crew tonight and around 10 new people. Was a tough session with a weights pyramid and a core pyramid as well as stairs and over 20 hill runs, which smashed the legs to bits.
Next session will be Saturday morning at a slightly later time of 9am. We will be teaming up with another free fitness group called Froot Camp. Meet in the carpark at the back of the Auckland Museum on a road called the museum Circuit. There is heaps of parking.

Super stoked to join the @suunto Squad this year! The weather finally cleared up enough for me to get a good run in. On my “easy” run days I made it a habit to end up taking an easy route, instead this year I am going to focus on taking the hard routes at an easy pace. •

Also, I’m freaking in love with my Suunto 9, I’ve been researching watches since December since I felt it was finally time for an upgrade. I feel I earned it haha... this bad boy is beautiful and fully customizable l, from the data you see while you are running to the summaries after your workout is over. How badass is that?! Also, there’s a setting for every freaking activity you could imagine... like CrossFit, or martial arts... there’s even a setting for an OCR race ... 🤯I’m pretty smitten. #suuntosquad
