When the sun slips into the depths, through the bends and cracks of the Antelope slot Canyons, vivid colours paint the ancient sand stone walls. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When these colours are ablaze, filling the shadows and the curves in the stone, it almost doesn’t look real. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was extraordinary, feeling small amongst the towering and twisting walls of sandstone. Seeing glimpses of the sky through slim cracks above. Watching the personality and appearance of the canyon transform in an instant with the wind and the sunlight. You can really feel the silence and stillness of this beautiful and humbling place. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We love our first tintype! This picture was taken with a lens made in Europe in the 1800s and the tintype we have at home is made with silver in some cool process that I don’t really understand, but it’ll stick around forever without fading. How great do @craigschuchman and his amazing facial hair look?
Getting outside and out of our comfort zones is important to our family.
The cure for becoming too entrenched in a life of routines, comforts and conveniences is getting out into nature and making family memories and experiences that will last a lifetime. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We find it character building, stepping away from the comforts of home, a fireplace that lights by the flick of a switch a soft mattress and a well stocked fridge and heading outside, setting up your shelter for the night, collecting firewood, starting a fire for warmth and cooking food.
Facing discomfort and making it work, challenges you, and that is how the best memories are made. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For two weeks every year, on clear evenings, the setting sun hits Horsetail Falls at just the right angle to turn it a glowing red-orange as it flows over the edge of El Capitan. Guest appearances by a snowy buddy and Eagle Peak. #NoFilter#OutsideIsFree
#tbhpost to the last time I ran a #100miler I’ve been comparing running long distance races to training for this bodybuilding competition. Some parts of the race are so easy and you feel like I could do this for ever but like an hour later you have to force yourself to keep walking up the mountain. Same thing, some days the diet is so easy and other days you just have push though it. Mostly I just think about how in ultras you get cheese quesadillas every 3-4 hours and sometimes they are filled with bacon. #yumbacon#bodybuildingnatural#bodybuildingwomen#ultrarunner#brycecanyonultras

"It doesn't look like, but Sophie is super happy to be back on the road after her accident up in the mountains.
We decided to start again from Lima and follow the panam' to go faster and escape the rain season. People told us the road was boring, but we didn't feel the same way. We are so amazed of the landscapes that can change in 20 kilometers. Colors, rocks, sand, cactus, sea lions and fish :)" | Regranned from @alaskapatagonia
