What a fabulous day ☺️☀️ I’m trying to work from home on Fridays as much as possible, mainly so I can process the week, catch up and get my priorities in check work-wise. It gives me the thinking time to collect my thoughts and digest a few work topics. One bonus of this also means I can hopefully squeeze in a daylight trail run 🙌🏻🏃🏼♀️ You don’t always feel like running. Today I’m a teeny-weeny bit hungover and have the worst women’s pains ever that are making me feel like punching something (sorry, too much info but it’s life). I’m grouchy and lethargic. However, you can’t let these things defeat you. I knew a run would help energise me and it’s done just that. Six sunny lunch time miles in my little woodland oasis on my doorstep. I’m so lucky being so close to this. It’s so peaceful, beautiful and the perfect place to give you some time out. It’s my escape place 😊
I’ve just tried my new @hokaoneone trail shoes and even though I’ve only done one run, wow! They were amazing. No pain, just pure comfort and the grip was great. I couldn’t be happier with these bad boys ☺️ Thank you again to those of you that have helped advise me on trail shoes. @hokaoneone definitely came out top and I can see why. One of the many advantages of connecting with you lovely lot is gaining advice. Advice that talks from experience. Thank you 😘

Now this was a delight! The perfect post run fuel after tonight’s 8.8 miles. Wholewheat spaghetti with roasted, smashed squash, spinach & walnuts and some extra veggies for extra happiness 🥒🥬🥦 a squeeze of lemon and some chilli made this full of flavour and v delicious 😋 #whatrunnerseat#whatveganseat#postrunfuel#vegandinner
POST 10 MILE RUN MEAL😍 I am so happy I made it to 10 miles at a pace that I want to run the whole race at (see my marathon training highlight for details) and this meal makes the whole thing SO much better. If you can’t tell, toast with all sorts of toppings is my go-to! I’m obsessed with toast and have it pretty much every single day😋
I sautéed shredded brussels in @chosenfoods avo oil, himalayan sea salt & pepper. After I let that brown for about 8 minutes, I toasted a piece of @traderjoes sourdough and fried two @thefarmershen eggs in avocado oil. I topped these eggs with some @kerrygoldusa blarney castle cheese and then plated it all! I cut up some strawberries for a side and not pictured is my protein shake using @sproutliving vanilla lucuma protein (this is the best plant based protein I’ve ever had-highly recommend it!)
Sometimes it's easier to see what's going wrong than what's going right, to notice what's stressing you out versus how much opportunity you have, to become overwhelmed and anxious instead of taking a step back to re-evaluate and see things realistically. The good news? We can make a choice to reframe and re-approach.
Moral of the story 👉whenever you think things are going wrong, just go right and make a toast (literally or figuratively) Trust me you'll feel better, I did 👇👇

I can’t believe this weather because it literally feels like spring🌸!! After a run this morning, I whipped together my favorite breakfast of a veggie omelette🍳 and avocado🥑 toast on our homemade bread🍞! The side of berries🍓 really got me feeling the spring time mood🤗!
