| Q O T D | This is probably going to be divisive, but I’m going to ask it anyway: Disneyland or Disney World? ➸
I’ve been to Disneyland probably a million times, but I’ve never been to Disney World! Can you believe it? Don’t worry, that’s all going to change very soon... ➸
Jordan and I are flying out to Florida tomorrow, and we’re going to spend the week at Disney World! To say I’m excited would be the understatement of the century... I’m practically bursting with anticipation! I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. I can’t even imagine how much more excited I’ll be once I’m actually in Disney World. I may just spontaneously combust from pure happiness. ➸
For those of you who’ve been to Disney World, what are your recommendations? Which rides should we prioritize, where should we eat, which shows should we see? I need all of your insider information! ➸
🧙🏼♂️ Dear people, thank you for your time to read this, I hope you're able to leave your #opinion on this issue below, because... ➺ From #time to time I receive requests from people to do a #Tarot#reading for them. I have #experience with #tarotreadings for #friends#family and #people in real life, but never done a #tarotreading over the #internet without sitting face to face with the #consultant
When I do #tarotspread for #someone I always ask them to #shuffle and pick the #tarotcards from the #tarotdeck themself, before I can do a #reading for them.
Over the #internet this can't be done, but still it's being done all over the place.
I'm thinking about how I think I will be able in the #future to do #tarotspreads myself for someone that's not even in the same room as me, for instance over the internet.
There is probably a good way to do this, otherwise, for instance, paralyzed people or people who can't use their arms or hands, won't be ever able to receive a tarotreading too, because they can't #shuffle and pick and spread the cards themselfs... I've spoken alot of #people, and read alot about it, and now I'm at a point where I'm #confident enough to give it a chance for a period of time, a trial period, and see how it works out for me and ( #future) #clients.
I am really #curious about your #opinion about this, feel free to leave a #comment! 🤗
#thankfull ♥️♥️ 🛐
“Water does not resist. Water flows. When you plunge your hand into it, all you feel is a caress. Water is not a solid wall, it will not stop you. But water always goes where it wants to go, and nothing in the end can stand against it. Water is patient. Dripping water wears away a stone. Remember that, my child. Remember you are half water. If you can't go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does.” ― Margaret Atwood, The Penelopiad⠀
Going into this book, I knew it was extremely likely that I would love it. I mean it’s Margaret Atwood and it’s a retelling of The Odyssey, how would I not love it? I’m happy to report The Penelopiad was a five 🌟 read for me. ⠀
The story takes a look at Homer’s The Odyssey but told from the perspective of Penelope and her twelve hanged maids. Atwood sought out to examine why the twelve maids were hanged and what was Penelope really up to while Odysseus was away. In true Atwood fashion she weaves together a poetic and thought provoking take on the original story. I don’t want to give anything away, because it was a delight going in with very little knowledge of the story. I loved it and highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for some feminist fiction or anyone who loves Atwood to retellings of myth.⠀

"For in dreams we enter a world that is entirely our own. Let them swim in the deepest ocean or glide over the highest cloud." - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Once my fever broke yesterday, I was able to get some reading in and finally finished Attachments by Rainbow Rowell. I’m still processing my thoughts on it. The beginning was really slow and a bit depressing. Maybe it was supposed to be like that because Lincoln was lost and floating through life and he took the reader with him emotionally. In that case, well done, Rainbow. We never really got a picture of what Lincoln looked like until another character described him way later in the book. I was picturing him as the complete opposite the entire time, so it was difficult for my brain to switch gears. I liked the concept of the story. It felt very secret admirer-ish (I don’t think that’s a word) and unlike anything I’ve read before, but it just didn’t hook me until 3/4 of the way through. 3 1/2🌟
Now I’m starting My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier. This is the February book pick for my book club and we’re meeting next Thursday, so I’d better get to reading!
What’s your current read?

This week has not looked like this moment, but it is this kind of moment I tried to take my mind to a few days ago, while incapacitated with pain. So I guess that says a lot about what kind of moments I like: quiet, late afternoon in winter, warm, golden light, good books, endless cups of coffee...
