RUFUS Racing has a new sponsor and a new place to eat in the Fort Worth area coming soon! Coming in the Spring of 2019, Uncle Daddy’s B & B (Burgers and BBQ). Our very own teammate, Rodney “Lamb” Lambert, is embarking on a new adventure! His goal is to bring high quality gourmet burgers and delicious BBQ to the people. Over the years, he has honed his “Q’in skills” and is very proud of his burger ability. We know you will love their inviting concept, pint of cold, cold beer, daiquiris, great food, and all around fun.
Come seen Lamb and the team in southwest Ft. Worth for the Grand Opening! Of course he’s waiting after King of the Hammers to open so he can be on the lakebed to make sure we are well feed and fueled for the Hardest 1-Day race in America.
Stay tuned to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for an opening date. Uncle Daddy’s a proud partner of Eco-Staff and Rufus Racing.
Cool moment captured the from the race last week. Just minutes after crossing the finish line I was in a world of hurt and just trying to stay upright. At that point a racer (probably seeing I wasn’t in great condition) that I didn’t know asked if I’d like some cold water poured on me. I didn’t see them again after I stood up but this is just one example from the day of how awesome the triathlon community is!!
I accomplished something this morning that I have been fantasizing about for the last 6 or 7 years. That is the solo sub 1 hour Reinmiller loop. I’ve been under an hour quite a few times in a group, but never on my own. Ended up with a time of 57:50. I’m just as excited about this as I would be doing well at a race. This is a very sentimental achievement for me and is a good way to close out a good 2nd half of the season. #timetrial#trek#rufusracing#reinmiller#giro#sufferfest#raceoftruth#sram#camelbak#quarq
