Leg day today, working my best through 80kg squats, Romanian split squats, sumo squat with kettle bell upright row, planks, weighted cable leg drive, and a few shoulder presses🏋️♂️
Having ignored strength sessions pretty much the last few years I'm getting back into it, substituting run days for small jog or cross train and then weights. Really seeing things come together now ready for Manchester 44 days time 🏃♂️🎯⏲
What's your favourite workout, or next race you're prepping for?
Trash your legs one day, fill them with oxygen and nutrients the next. This is marathon training! ▪️

Hot to trot for that trail race Sunday! 😬💃
Bouncing back? Why do people use that term? This picture was taken almost 2 years after having my first baby. The “bouncing back” you see from celebs a few weeks after childbirth - good for them but this does NOT happen for the majority of women! .
This is one of my favourite pictures of myself ( #vain), I don’t look anything like this at the moment, in fact I’m carrying an extra 10kg of baby weight. Will I get back to where I was in this photo? Probably not...I’ll be even stronger, hopefully happier, wiser, confident and everything that comes with bearing and bringing another child into the world.
There’s NO time limit. Do NOT confuse my love of running for being anything other than the fact that I love to run....it’s not a tool for me to “bounce back”, I do it because I LOVE it. I do it because 30mins on my own is pure heaven some days. I do it because the endorphins make me feel on top of the bloody world. I do it because sometimes it’s what I need to do to feel more like myself (hormones suck).
So if you follow me and you think I’m either not bouncing back quick enough or I’m doing too much too soon... well you’re entitled to your opinion (but you’re wrong😜) I’m doing this at the right pace for me, this is MY journey... soooo keep following if you’re interested in my journey post baby number 2, it will be pretty boring at times, I can’t promise anything particularly impressive but as always I really appreciate all of your support ❤️
