We are a casual group of runners and walkers looking to build a community of friendly, active locals who enjoy fitness and the great outdoors.
Our group usually meets 8:30am on Saturdays. The normal meeting spot is in front of the Waterdog Tavern in Belmont, but as we grow we are looking to branch out to other local parks and trails. We welcome runners or walkers of any age group or ability.

Our Tuseday night run is on for this week! Meet at the Belmont Library at 6pm for a fun 3 mile run around Belmont/ San Carlos. Headlamps will be provided by the library. Hope to see you there!
Happy Valentines Day everyone! Yesterday was about spending time with the one special person in your life (which could totally just be yourself) and this morning was about spending time with all the other special people in your life ... and grinding up hills of course. #love#loveyourself#riseandgrind#wildpaddy.

I did something yesterday morning that I never do. I ran before it was even 7am. I'm not definitely not a morning person, but the jet lag from going coast to coast definitely helped. It's a good way to set yourself up for the day.

60F and pouring rain. Perfect running weather! Glad I didn't miss the rain with @werunsf.co this time (found a new prenatal yoga class on a different day)! Energy levels running high as I enter week 22 of pregnancy. My splits each got progressively faster too...or was that because we went from narrow sidewalks and lights to the nice wide Embarcadero?
How long will this high last? I hope until at least the 3rd trimester i.e. April! In the meantime, this Sugoi (yes, that's the brand name) rain jacket still fits...barely!

I often ask myself if we’ve grown soft living in SF. If we’re no longer weatherproof. NP Cities like @novemberprojectcan or @novemberprojectchicago get the freezing temps, wind, and snow so are they weatherproof and we’re not? No, SF is weatherproof. And as many of us found out this morning, our skin is rainproof. You think your city is weatherproof? QUESTION: Has this ever happened to you? I had to stop mid-run and change treadmills because the one I was on must not have been calibrated properly. I was hardly able to do an 11 min mile, the machine was going so fast...stuck with it for 1.5 miles and then switched treadmills and finished my last 3.5 at about 9:50 pace which seemed really easy after the last treadmill. #runstreak#womensrunningcommunity#fitover40#runsf#runhappy
You know it’s going to be a good week when you start it off with a little Monday morning gambling! Our winners didn’t steal, didn’t go for big numbers, they quietly gathered their 3s while everyone else stole back and forth leaving them the victor. Nice work! #pokermondays#burpeegambles

Smiling because that run is done! I did some weights beforehand because the machines were free - got to take advantage of that when you can! - and then I went to the treadmill to work on my 5k pace. Needless to say my legs were very tired when I started. This is actually a great way to practice how you finish the last 5k of any race. It’s that last 5k when you’re pushing through fatigue and lactic acid, trying to achieve your goal time, that can really make or break a race. If you want to work on how you finish, I suggest you give this a try!
I am not one to run in just a sports bra, let alone post about it! But as I trained these past two weeks on a treadmill at home I figured, why add the extra laundry of a sweaty t-shirt when I don’t have to? People always ask how I “stay in shape” while eating all the delicious food I do. My answer is: define “in shape” 🤣 By no means am I “a twig”, but I would like to think I am in fairly good shape. Do I have a six pack? Not even close - but maybe one day! Can I run a 6 minute mile? Absolutely- If it’s just one 😉 I love being in shape and staying fit, but at the same time I love love LOVE food. So this is my shape which always allows me to be a decent runner (if I say so myself) while eating great food! So here is to #MotivationMonday and I hope everyone strives to be the best shape of you that is perfect for your lifestyle!!
