I have had no problem with the Herc Hoist. I like to anchor my self to the floor and use my body weight to help lift it. Even with the added weight of the rain at the Sydney Urban Sprint, it was quick and easy for me. Now to work on all the ones I failed. Next race is a Super (13+ km) in April at the Sunshine coast 🌞! Any ideas on how to do the rope climb, I have failed it twice! #spartantraining#spartan#workout#gymlife#momswholift#spartanwomen#trainingforaspartanrace
I guess my son Charlie has already chosen his cycling company for the future! @fizikofficial ... looks like we have another teammate 🚴🏽🚴🏽🚴🏽🚴🏽 My Boy Charlie loves taking Da Da’s Hat ... this boy is soooo super strong already. Maybe he’ll be your top cyclist. Whom or whatever he becomes, I’ll be one proud da da and nothing will change my mind. I love this kid more than the world ... and I love @fizikofficial for supporting me and my journey.
Good vibes only! 🙌
Coming into this game I didn’t know what to expect (and mainly from the people) but I eventually discovered an incredible positive and funny vibe! Camaraderie as they call it, one of Spartan’s main spirit, is definitely something you feel on race day and beyond! Stay the same guys 👌
NEVER EVER did I think I would say .... well that was not to bad I might do it again.
For the ones that don’t know me, running is not my thing, give me weights any day.
I did a trot round Natone hill then over it with a friend. #spartantraining
Her first one so helping with the running side that’s also helping me enjoy it. Running off then back again.
Bit over 4km in 35mins.
So back again tomorrow to try on my own as she will run with her 2 little boys in the pram.
Thrilled with the success of my online client 👏👏👏
She *knew* she was going on a date with her hubby and wanted dessert.
Chocolate flourless torte 🤤
So she ***planned ahead***.
Knew what obstacles she faced (yummy pre-meal bread, apps, etc), so she could mentally prepare and not rely on sheer will power.
Then enjoyed an amazing, guilt-free, date night... While still crushing her nutrition game plan 👌.

Leg day! Added a couple more sets and very little rest between. I still have the uphill treadmill stuff going on, but experimented a little. Started with a 15 incline walk for 6 mins and then dropped it to a 7 incline run for 3 mins then a 10 incline run for 1 min. The incline runs have been helping me a ton on the trail runs lately so going to keep at it for a while!
I’ve fallen into a bit of a rut lately and lost a little motivation. But thanks to a good friend of mine for the idea of daily planks, I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things. It’s only Day 2 and I’m already seeing some improvements in my times!.
[Remote work day consisted of 3 max planks, 3 sets of 5 pull-ups and cardio]
During my time at university my main 'exercise' was dancing on a night out and partying with the Swim Team; but not actually swimming. I was binge drinking alcohol multiple nights a week and ending the night with cheesy chips on a regular - and they do still have a special place in my heart.
Fast forward 7 years and I still can't quite believe I made it on to the podium at my first elite race at the @spartan race Singapore Stadion Race. I have learnt so much in the last few years about nutrition, training and recovery and it has reshaped my entire life, I feel like the person in the left photo isn't quite me! The drastic changes were made in the first few years and I'm now focusing on small tweaks. Refining my diet and dialing in my training have been key but it takes time and patience.
I've recently made the choice to include more plant based options in my diet and I'm prioritising sleep and recovery more than I ever have before and I'm looking forward to seeing what unfolds this race year!
