•2-3 dates •1/2 cup chickpeas
•2 tsp Cocoa powder
•3 Tbsp almond milk
•Few drops vanilla
This recipe Will make 9 Tbsp. You can double everything and make a bigger batch. (18 Tbsp)
Put everything in a food processor. Mix until smooth!
Put in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator.

So what is "shame" anyways?
I recently found the IG account of an old friend who I haven't spoken in a while. The first thought was to follow her...but then, almost INSTANTLY, my mind started to argue on this saying "Remember how this girl was a PERFECTIONIST? If you'll follow her, she'll follow you back and she's gonna see...nothing. You'll just make a fool out of yourself..."
It's such a pity to ignore old friends, who you probably miss talking to, just because you have the WRONG PERCEPTION that there's nothing GOOD you can share, that you are emtpy, that there's nothing of you that deserves being seen by others...
The intensely painful feeling of believing we are flawed and therefore unworthy of love and belonging is so destructive to ourselves and others.
But the less we talk about shame, the more power it has over our lives. However, if we cultivate enough AWARENESS about shame to name it and SPEAK to it, we’ve basically cut it off at the knees.
When we bury the story, we forever stay the subject of the story. But if we FACE IT, if we OWN the story, we get to narrate the ending.
What have I learnt from this short, yet powerful experience?
💎Bring shame into the light, expose its uglyness and you will decrease its power and its control over your live!
💎Untangle what is the actual feeling. Shame means “I am bad". But are you really bad? Or just "embarrassed"? Or maybe "humiliated"? Neither of those feelings is comfortable, but they don’t take aim at our self-worth in the way shame does. Humiliation can seem like shame, but it comes with the feeling that it was not deserved. And our old friend embarrassment can pass in a blink, simply when we realize it can happen to everyone...
💎Recognize the triggers. By being aware of what our shame triggers are, we can help cut this feeling from its roots. We should all embrace who we are rather than struggling to fulfill an outside notion of who we should be. Our vulnerabilities will recede and, with it, shame’s power over us.
