Inter club competition 6 weeks in for the 6pm Group
Now that we are Entering the mid stages of the programme attention will be focused on recovery ,mobility nutrition and sleep
You can’t improve unless all of these are factored in at this stage
Once the weight becomes shall we say scary our lifestyle must change to accommodate the stress of the workouts
Train for a purpose eat to perform listen to your body
So, I’ve noticed that my left legs kinks out a bit more then my right! NOTE TO SELF; focus on that.... but all week I haven’t had a chance to go to yoga @elemental_life due to a massive tension/migraine headache I’ve had actually all week and have never experienced anything like it! Although the past 2 weeks have been bad with food (too many carbs, take out and alcohol) •
But I’m back on track now 🤸🏽♂️🧘🏽♀️ and off to a yoga class today, I’m also loving my yoga wheel from @mahalo_4_life and I really wanna get a yoga mat from @virasanafitnessmat I’ve been eyeing them off but always seam to have other things on my list 🙄
I’m absolutely loving the wheel and next thing I want for yoga is the mat and I’d love to get one of those straps that u can hang off! And a yoga chair! So much on my list! 🙀 •
Yoga isn’t about how flexible you can be; it’s not to show off, it’s not to be better then the person next to you; yoga is about having the mental capacity to focus on your breath and your breath only, to hold the pose properly, to love yourself deeply and truely and to be a master of your own mind, our own self control and discipline. I LOVE YOGA and will always practise it. •

It's that day where we get to increase weight for the @goruck February #ruckingchallenge! Week 1 was the 30 lb, week 2 was the 45 lb, week 3 is both! Got 75 lbs in there for another nice snow ruck. Not a bad time for snow and ice!

I think it’s important to build walls because without them, there’s nothing to break through.
we carve out meaning in our lives when we’re willing to take a hard look at the walls we’ve built and decide what needs to be broken down. we carve out more meaning in our lives when we take a hammer; otherwise known as courage, and start breaking down the bullshit stories we’ve been telling ourselves about how things are, who we are, what the past means, and what the future holds.
If you want to be successful, there’s literally nothing stopping you aside from the walls you’ve built for yourself. •
so stop blaming where you are on your circumstances. don’t blame it on other people. don’t blame it on timing. your perspective is up to you. It’s time to start breaking those walls down because the truth is someone is waiting to fall in love with exactly the person you are, opportunities are waiting for you, and joy is all around you, every day, all the time. so if there’s something you want to change…go grab your hammer.

Saw an amazing documentary last night. "Free Solo" is the story of Alex Honnald becoming the first person to climb El Capitan without a rope. Incredible achievement, but the aspect that I took away was the fact that he doesn't follow the patterns of the majority and does whatever it takes to chase his dreams. We can all get caught up wanting to fit in and following others but greater happiness will be found being true to your heart and following your own dreams and goals.
For those of you in Perth it's now playing at Luna cinemas, highly recommended it.

for my birthday present this year, @sharu_ahmed planned an entire surprise trip and wouldn’t tell me where we were going until we arrived at the airport yesterday. when we got there, I was soooo happy to find out that we were headed to AMSTERDAM! we’ve been here for less than a day but I’m already in love with this city and am feeling so lucky to get to spend the next few days here. recommendations are welcome 🙃 #iamsterdam
For us everyday folk maintaining a high level of fitness, low % of skin folds or keeping our diet strict can be a challenge.
This photo has been taken after my birthday, Christmas, holidays and New Year's Eve all within 2 months of one another.
Fair to say I really, really enjoyed myself through this period whilst still training, I allowed myself to partake in alllllll the good times.
Its allowing ourselves to be O.K with knowing that our bodies are magical vessels that will fluctuate at stages and at times not look or feel our optimum "best". And that's O.K.
The one thing we can control is how we get ourselves back on track.
I have committed to 3 months off all alcohol 🍺 some little tweaks to my diet and I will monitor my progress and whatever the result I will be O.K with it ✔️
