Good day for PRs today. 183kg SSB from a 50cm box (right on parallel) followed by 100kg bench press for what was supposed to be a double but went up so easily it turned into a triple. Huge rep PR for me there. Will try a 110kg single next week. Finished up with a few supersets of triceps pushdowns, lat pulldowns and facepulls then went and tried the atlas stones for the first time and managed a fairly easy 90kg stone to the podium. Will need to try something heavier next when I've got more time.
I've heard mixed thoughts about how easy the SSB is in relation to a regular low bar squat or high bar squat, I've always found SSB easier. Thoughts?
For 2019 I have decided to take greater control of my body. I have started to work with my trainer Felipe (@famfit407) to sculpt my physique the way I have pictured it.
With just a week into training, I have learned how much work its going to take. I am excited to take my fitness aspirations to another level.

Sadly the level of FAKE that is out there right now is ridiculous. This goes far beyond just pictures too. So many people try to portray their lives via IG as this phenomenal lifestyle but it's only because they're trying to keep up with the world's decaying standards of what they think is admirable. Bruh, most people don't really give a sh*t, honestly. That's the truth 💯 -
I'll openly admit, I usually always edit my pictures in some way, either to bring out detail or fix some camera lighting issues. But I have never ALTERED my appearance to seem bigger or leaner or whatever. That's just dumb. I actually appreciate looking back and seeing REAL progress haha 😆 -
I'll end with this: I really don't care if I lose followers or likes on pictures. Why? Because what truly matters is that everything I share on here is 💯% me, just as I am. I don't make IG my life; I make living life my life, and if I have an opportunity to share something cool about it, then I'm happy to do so! I don’t know why but I’m genuinely a happy and positive person even though there are things which are more difficult to handle in my life. I guess what I have learned the past years is to appreciate the little things, to be modest and be grateful for the persons and things I have instead of focusing on what I can’t have; I’ve learned that life can be incredibly unfair but being angry about that doesn’t make it any better. I’ve learned to be there for the people who need me while still taking care of myself. And I have learned that forgiveness is very important - is it forgiving myself or someone else.
I think I’ve slowly found a balance in my life or at least I made a few steps into the right direction.
I’m definetely not there yet but even small progress is noticeable and feels good. 😊
