First ever workout video.. a little bit of back/arms from Thursday! 💪🏼😊
Earlier this year I started working with @demelofitness88 to help build my strength and push myself out of my comfort zone!
I currently have a torn ACL and will be going for surgery later this year and as a result of that injury I have struggled to push myself to lift heavier in fear of hurting myself more. .
Having @demelofitness88 there to encourage me while loading on the weight has been exactly what I needed!
& Shoutout to Josh for capturing it all for me and pushing me to lift heavier while filming!

Yesterday’s last heavy deadlifts before I compete next Sunday at @aviaperformance 🖤
130kg for 3 single reps at 61- 62kg body weight. This is only 10kg off my comp best, hoping there’s a lil PB in the tank next week 🖤
Technique and strength gains courtesy of @claudiacoppola 🖤👯♀️🤗
Do you have a single factor or moment that changed the game for you?
I could list the amazing twists of fate that propelled my career to where it is today, but the best thing to happen to me on this job was meeting other incredible humans.
I have to say, 𝘀𝗵𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳. She has meant all the difference! Love you @nataliefitnfree ❤️❤️❤️
The pic on the left is the last one I had of me on my phone before I decided to make a change. It was my 41st birthday, over 50lbs ago. The pic on the right is from today after finishing Transform 20.
I'm much healthier now, stronger mentally/physically, more confident and rent my clothes because I got tired of having to buy smaller sizes month to month.
My "why" is due to watching my beloved grandparents who raised me, become increasingly unhealthy as they grew into old age. I was the last one to see each of them in the hospice before they passed away the following mornings. Grandpa passed Thanksgiving morning. They left me with another great gift which was a swift kick in the ass to make some serious lifestyle changes. So I joined Beachbody on 12/04/17 and haven't stopped since. The lesson learned for me is that our health is all we have that is truly important. Without good health, the other stuff just falls apart.
What is your "why" and what's stopping you from living a healthier lifestyle? Let me know and together, we can get you there!

Six months ago, I lifted at Keyhole Barbell, and @mfswede said I was underdeveloped and should work on hypertrophy for awhile. At first, it sucked to hear because I’ve put on 20 pounds since I first visited a gym about four years ago. But, looking at that second picture, I’m glad he didn’t sugar-coat it because it pushed me to work harder, to care more about my diet and to do everything I can to hit my goals. Changing up my training and diet over the past six months have helped me gain about four pounds, which is HUGE for me. This week, I also benched my last comp bench max for 10 reps between four sets, and I tied a rep PR on deads with an amrap of 210 # for 8 today. Feelin’ pretty goooood here 🖤 [The third photo is just for fun - first flexing picture I ever took exactly four years ago! Tried to do fancy hands like DLB lols]
Just had my best treadmill run ever 😁! Yes, I know... one day I’m complaining about running and the next I’m not 🤷🏻♀️. I did not want to go to the gym after work (what’s new lol) but I went anyways with the intention of run/walking for 30 minutes. Ended up running more than I thought and eventually decided to just go for 5K since I’ll be missing out on my run clinic 5K Fun Run tomorrow. I even had a few “aha” moments while listening to the @supersoul podcast and found a great rhythm and just kept going! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Been exhausted during the week - slept nearly 11 hours last night! Playing catch up again. Day 37 Faster, and Day 38 Stronger. That one is unique in that it is 100% silent. No music, no encouragement, nothing except “next” to let you know when the next move is. Only the noise of stepping and breathing. Different, but I liked it!
“You gain strength, courage, confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” - Eleanor Roosevelt
I LOVE this quote so much because not only is it so true, but I can relate so hard to it. This past week has been one of the toughest I have ever had. I got to my breaking point and I was just done. I cried to my mom and finally told my dad about my eating disorder. Honestly I wish I never excluded him from knowing. I was really just nervous of his reaction and I didn’t think he’d understand. I also didn’t want him to stress or worry about me with him working so hard. Man was I wrong about him. If anything he has been so helpful and more caring. I was able to sit down with both my parents and figure out this next step for me. And I am actually going to see a therapist for the first time on Wednesday. I am excited, but also nervous and anxious. But I know that this is what I need and this is a huge step in the right direction.
I know we all have our own struggles, insecurities, and no one is perfect. That is why I am not here to act like I’m perfect or always happy because that would be a straight lie. It has been very difficult for me inside and mentally. If you are ever thinking about telling a loved one or just anyone about what you’re going through, DO IT. Nothing is more of a positive step or the start to healing than being completely honest with yourself and others!❤️ Please be nice to everyone because you do not know the struggles they’re facing inside💖
Anyways, thank you for all your support and listening to my story/ rant🙃

⭐🏃♀️Just like jumping on the #treadmill once every week won’t make you fit, eating one of these things every once and a while isn’t going to make you #fat.
👿I see so many people in my practice demonize certain food groups because it’s easier to place blame their #weightgain on a food group, rather than on their poor decision making.
🤔Are you one of those people?
😢“I need to just completely cut out my carbs in order to lose weight.”
🍞It’s not the carb’s fault (or sugar, or fat) that you’re putting on weight. It’s not the CARBS itself that are making it difficult to lose weight, its the TOO MANY that you’re having.
⛵You’re the captain of your own ship. YOU decide what’s going into your body, not what you eat.
🏃♀️Just like that treadmill, sitting in the corner, unused, isn’t going to make you fit, a particular food group isn't going to make you fat. What matters is how MUCH of it you eat, just like it matters how often you jump on the treadmill to make yourself fit.
⭐So today, what’s one simple step that you can put into place to get your diet back on track?

First leg day with the Ledbetter Booty Pump bands was yesterday and they are a game changer. Those plus @pescience High volume makes for a killer pump. 😍 2019 is the year of the glutes fam💪🏼☺️ #ThriveTribe
Better late than never—especially after this busy day... but got in a great ab workout and my sister even joined in! 🤗Love having the flexibility to be able to do my workouts from anywhere, but we used old beach towels in place of yoga mats since we didn’t have any here 🤷♀️ hey whatever it takes! Also, mom’s not the greatest photographer but beggars can’t be choosers right? Isn’t that how the expression goes.. 🤔
Did you do anything active today?
Here’s a quick, but efficient glutes and abs session that I did this morning 🍑 save for your next booty day!
2️⃣4x10 hip thrusts
4️⃣3x10 glute bridge
5️⃣3x20 Russian twist (10 each side)
6️⃣3x12 toe taps
7️⃣ annnd bonus chin up! haven’t done these before so I’m proud of my little 1 1/2 rep 😜
I had a lot of anxiety at the gym this morning. We’re visiting my parents for my dads birthday & tried a new gym in town. I always get a little nervous trying out a new place because I’m not a ‘regular’ and don’t know where anything is. Even though I know my way around weights/equipment it still gets intimidating going somewhere new and I think the whole ‘gym-timidation’ stops a lot of people (especially women) from pursuing fitness and exercise. It takes a lot to get over this & I still get it every once and a while (like today), but just have to remind myself that it doesn’t matter! You deserve to be there just like everyone else & who cares if you don’t know where anything is/how to use a piece of equipment. You’re there to better yourself, not for anyone else. ❤️
Proud 55 yr old posting her “slow” progress pics.... Sorry if I offend anyone, this is the body of a mum of 5 after all, trying hard to reach her #goals and prove we “maturer” ladies can get there too 😉💪 #nophotoshopneeded#realbodies#nofilter
Halfway mark #sweat12wc#pwrprogram#kelseywellspwr@sweat ✨Has it been hard? Sure has, especially the first 3 weeks as incorporating my daily workouts meant prioritising and rescheduling my days and nights 😬🤞 #nomoreexcuses#mumonamission#maketimeforyou ✨Was it worth it? Every little drop of sweat!!! I am only halfway through my journey but feel mentally happier, physically stronger and totally empowered and motivated to go on. I now crave my daily workouts after a long day behind a desk and computer ✍️👩💻 #healthylifestyle#happiness#fitmum#fitgrandma#strongnotskinny#fitnessjourney ✨Did I think I could do it? My mind said yes but my body is starting to age and made it an excuse not to bother. However, I now do what I can and listen to my body. I paddled for an hour yesterday, mainly in the marina to be kind to my knee. The ocean was so beautiful and a dolphin 🐬 joined us. I don’t jump or run any longer but still do burpees, lunges and squats in a slower motion, controlled and to my ability. I have finally found a way I can still do it all with some changes to suit me #growingoldgracefully#fitiver50#ageisjustanumber#movement#injurieswontstopme#arthritis ✨And finally I would like to thank so many people, on IG #fitfam and in my life that inspire and motivate me daily... Thank you with all my heart ❤️ I can’t wait to show you the next progress pics in 6 weeks. Have a fantastic week all. Rest day for me (beside cleaning, laundry, prepping etc 👩🏻🍳😀).... ✨With love from sunny Perth, Australia 🇦🇺😘-✨Claire ✨
In the spirit of #selfcaresaturday after a morning/afternoon of slaying some work, I took myself on a little date! Went for my normal neighborhood walk but took a detour to @chipotle and had dinner there while listening to @almost30podcast . Every here and there it’s nice to go alone and do something for leisure, it doesn’t need to be something to be ashamed of! Now time for some at home spa treatment and Netflix. What’s your favorite way to treat yourself?

First, whoever got that middle pic screenshot from Worlds at the O2 in London, THANK YOU!
I did this and I’m going to do it again. I post these pics for that one person out there who is ready to give up just like I was in that pic on the left.
This is Me vs Me. Trained by me.
Just because I didn’t come out on top at Worlds in London doesn’t mean I quit.
Nope. I’m going back knowing myself and the process better.
Train. Study. Practice. Repeat.
I am so freaking excited to see what these next 112 days brings!
Friends, THAT is what to get excited about! Not food. Not excess. Not sleeping in or binge watching.
Not looking at others to blame, but looking straight into a mirror and understanding these three words, “I’m worth MORE!” I’m out here and I’m on it 💪
Love you guys. You’re the best! Let’s ALL cash in on our value!

Happiest in workout clothing. Is it just me or does anyone else feel the most confident in gym attire?! 😍
Just a little update on the transformation challenge! January 22–>February 23! (Week 1–> end of Week 5/8) I’ve made it 5 weeks with no alcohol, no Dunkin/Starbucks, no fried foods (besides literally two fries), no chips, no pop, and 5 OTF workouts! Only thing I gave into so far was the no sweets 🙊The hardest one has definitely been the no alcohol but only a few more weeks and I can relax with a drink in my hand🙌🏼
👩🏼⚕️Round 2 Day 17
👩🏻⚕️Round 4 Day 13
What better way to end a Saturday morning work grind than with @georgiagrinders ?! 🥜🍯 We may not be able to have king cake, but we can have the ✨NEW✨ Hazelnut Butter so it’s not a complete loss for us!
I’ve been dying to try Georgia Grinders’ nut butters so Nikki + I decided to trade in our typical Trader Joe’s crunchy almond butter w/ this one! (We still love u TJ❤️)
The only ingredients are roasted hazelnuts + sea salt, but we like to believe they took crack out of the list. It’s that good. We also bought a jar of Maple-Caramel Almond Butter, but that will have to wait till day 43 after reintroduction. But that’s for a later post...✨🥜 📸: @laurenhavaa

Reminiscing on this Saturday night b/c
the Arnold is only a week away and I could notttt be more excited😭🙌🏼💕💕
It’s always a breath of fresh air being surrounded

But rly nothing is better than being surrounded by

YAYYYY I AM BACK FAM 😎🕺
Safe to say 10 hour working days got me like 🤪🤯🥴 (and also like 🤒🤧 bc I woke up today with a cold so this pic is very
much fake news but oh well 😂🤷♀️) -
This will be the case for the following 4 weeks as well and even tho I definitely miss being on here as much as usual (supporting all of my fave humans and spamming you with my awkward boomerangs and eternal snacking stories 😂🍿) (where are the oatmeal and proteinbar and pepsi max and white monster emojis at? 🤨) there is a time and place for everything, our priorities change and this mini social media break has actually felt really good this far! I have been sleeping a lot better, my mind feels weirdly refreshed and the focus during my workouts has been ON POINT 🤩👏👏
Forever sending you all my love and having virtual snacking parties with you all, HAPPY SATURYAY GUYS! 🥳🥰❤️ #alphalete#saturyay#bodybypopcorn
Nothing better than starting the weekend sweating it out at the new @barrysuk in Canary Wharf 💥💦
This was my first time trying out Barry’s and it‘s such a good one to push yourself to your own limit. Similar to other classes, you switch between the treads and floor/ weight work meaning your heart rate is always up! These classes push me to actually run and improve my endurance rather than if I was just in the gym doing HIIT for 10 minutes. -
Thanks so much to @canarywharflondon and @barrysbootcamp for having me 🤩
