•It’s going to be hard, but hard does not mean impossible. •
For those of you who know me more than just a number on your following. You’ll know that the last few years of my life have been hard. Soul destroying. Physically and mentally draining. But every time I have got back up again. And pushed on. The last few months I seem to have had colds and bugs galore !!!! Nothing in comparison to other dramas but it’s such a weird feeling for me when I say the words “I miss exercise !!! Because eight months ago exercise wasn’t a word in my vocabulary !!!!
I am not a quitter. I am not stopping after how far I’ve come. I am going to get to the good place I want to be in. Physically. Mentally. With my heart and soul. It’s not easy. Especially when you have days that roll into weeks of what seems like constant reasons (excuses!) to give up. I am not giving up !!!! You’ve heard them all before - “Do something today your future self will thank you for. “ “Sometimes we’re tested not to show our weaknesses but to find our strengths.” “Wake Up with determination and go to bed with satisfaction.” Each and every single one of you are amazing. Whatever journey you’re on. It’s not easy. It’s hard. Some days really hard. But it’s so so worth it !!!!! Love you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️ #kurvy#kurvygirl#kurvyandkonfident#kurvyandkute#swimmer#swimmersofinstagram#runner#runnersofinstagram#weightlossjourney#happy#me#newme#moveon#onefootinfrontoftheother

On Monday I told my trainer, that my swim training was too easy for me... Careful what you wish for 😅
200 m warm up
16 x 50 m sprints
10 x 50 m drills
8 x 50 m medium
2 x 500 m: 400 easy + 100 fast
100 m easy
400 m: 2x 150 easy + 50 fast
200 m cool down
I took the fast intervals really seriously, so I was quite exhausted toward the end... I hope it will help me get faster 💨, I’m still pretty damn slow 🐌
Releasing this video on YouTube was a memorable experience for me! This video hits home because when I first started triathlon I wish there was a video that broke down the front crawl like this! .
I was a horrible swimmer when I started in Triathlon but it was my goal to feel comfortable in the water. I used a nose clip for my first year and struggled just to learn the front crawl! .
I’ve come along way now and by no means am I varsity NCAA swim caliber, but I’m very happy and feel accomplished with swimming! Now I made this video that helps new Triathletes learn to swim Front Crawl with proper mechanics and [email protected] incorporate pool tools into their training like Snorkels, paddles and pull buoys! I also go over when you can and can’t wear a wetsuit and how to choose your goggles! .
Tag your friend who needs help swimming or is new to triathlon and don’t come from a swimming background! 🙌🏊♂️

Transformation Tuesday ALSO Two-a-day Tuesday. As I prepare to do the thing I like least (going to the pool at 5am), I look at these before pics and remind myself WHY.
My WHY is the energy I have. The feeling of accomplishment. Having purpose. Feeling confident.
Oh yeah, and that last pic... now being in a size 6!!!!! Feels good to see and feel the results of all this hard work.
Listen to my weight loss story on @runlift.mom podcast!

2019 Sea Wolves Short Course Season, that’s a wrap! ✅ This strong, sweet, smiling girl is totally wiped out after three days at Champs. We knew this season at the bottom of the age group would be tough, but she took it all in stride and reached the goals she set for herself. We were blown away today when we compared her times a year ago to now. In the end, you’re racing yourself, right? PRs in all 9 events this weekend! She’s ready for a nice break until spring. What on earth are we going to do between 5-730pm every night? 😂
First mini brick workout for 2019 and testing out the new Apple Watch 4 Series - at first wasn’t sure I liked the swim setting... but compared to my beloved Garmin 735 it was pretty damn accurate! AND it actually tracked my heart rate accurately... wasn’t expecting that for the swim. First 1500m for the year... lots of time to work on it and shave off minutes. And, the run!!! Back on track for the run. Started nice and easy for the first 10min holding back and I embraced the dreadmill I’ve been avoiding for weeks lol. Great start to the week and looking forward to more morning workouts - cause they are the best!!! Garmin... I’m saving your lifespan for those big workouts and racing... Apple... you’re giving Garmin a little break for a few week. I love both worlds and having the combo is a nice change to the season. 🏊🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️💖😈🎉
Super proud of this shot here 🙌🏻⠀
Did you know the advantage of flipturns in #swimming is to keep your swim speed HIGHER for a longer period of time? ⠀
Think 💭 about it: a #swimmers speed doesn’t hit ZERO ❌ until their feet 🦶 plant on the wall, and this point doesn’t happen until 2/3 of the way THROUGH a flipturn! ⠀
If racing at the highest speed possible is what YOU want to do, KEEPING your head DOWN ⬇️ when approaching the wall helps a #swimmer avoid any excess DRAG while initiating the somersault, and allows for a swimmer to go through the turn FASTER than they would otherwise...⠀
Still not sure how to do this? Click the link in my bio 👆🏻to learn more!

I have the day off of work ..yay! It’s not a rest day though... I still have to train! I’m in bed contemplating whether to get up and knock out a swim early, or sleep in and swim later. 🤔 WWYD?
There was a “one in, one out” policy at the West Reservoir today. It’s a lake, not a nightclub! I think I spent more time in the queue than in the water.
The swim itself was delightful. I’m really enjoying my swims, both in the pool and in open water 💦 The weather’s been so hot lately that I find myself craving a swim rather than a run!
