I’m really benefiting from blind weigh ins at the moment. Even though this week I know it will have been a gain thanks to shark week 🦈 and a really emotional couple of days, not seeing it made me leave group feeling positive for the week ahead rather than miserable 😊 having a super supportive consultant definitely helps me keep my positive attitude towards my slimming journey as well 😊
Wow .. who needs to order a takeaway when you can make your own 😍 Donner kebab with salad, chips & garlic mayo 🤤 to make my donner meat I added 1tsp salt, 1tsp ground coriander, 1tsp ground cumin, 1/2tsp mixed herbs, 1/2tsp paprika, 1/2tsp chilli powder, 1/4tsp garlic powder & 1/4tsp onion powder to 500g less than 20g fat lamb mince, placed the mixture into a loaf tin & cooked for 45mins (100g = 4.5syns). I used a Bfree stone baked pitta (heb), tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber & red onion and made the chips using potatoes and fry light. Served with 1tbsp Asda garlic mayo (2syns). I had 1/4 of the meat so synning at 6syns. Totalling 8syns. Every one worth it!

BBQ Sauce cooking away during the rugby 🏴 🏴 Mine is based on @slimmingeats bbq pulled pork recipe with a few tweaks. I used:
2 small onions chopped and fried to soften and then add -
1.5 tbsp cider vinegar
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp Worcester sauce
2 tbsp sweet freedom fruit syrup (4 syns)
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp garlic salt
1 tsp Celery seeds
Heat all this through for the onions to take on the flavour then add a carton of passata plus half filled with water to rinse it out.
Leave bubbling on low through the first half of the game and taste at half time. Cry 😢 into the pan to add more salt whether needed or not.
🍌 BANANA BREAD 🍌
👩🏻🍳 if you’re looking for a weekend bake... look no further! 🙌🏽
This is one of my most tried & tested recipes & one that I make regularly. It’s quick, easy & a great way to use up ripe banana’s 🍌 avoiding food waste 🙌🏽
In fact, I buy extra bananas most weeks so I have an excuse to whip up a cake 😉
I have been asked quite a few times for a vegan 🌱 version of this recipe & I usually suggest trying a ‘chia egg’. I finally tried it recently myself with ‘chia eggs and it worked a treat 🙌🏽
Just add your choice of nuts 🥜, seeds & berries
I love to add some dark chocolate 🍫 too 😋
Enjoy with a nice cup of chai ☕️ .
👩🏻⚕️ Prebiotic (oats & banana) fibre rich cake to keep our gut microbiome healthy & happy.
This recipe can also be adapted to be vegan, gluten free and dairy free if needed. .
1 chia egg = 1 tablespoon chia seeds & 3 tablespoons water 💦 , mixed & left for 5
Mins until it’s a gel like consistency .
3 Ripe bananas - mashed 🍌 🍌🍌
200gms oats - ground
100gms butter/plant based butter
3 eggs 🥚 🥚🥚 or 3 chia eggs
1 & 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon (1 extra banana &/or tablespoon oats for decoration)
Add Nuts 🥜 & seeds of choice, berries or dark chocolate 🍫 for a variation 👌🏽
First whisk up the butter/coconut oil
Add one egg, 1/3 of the banana mix & 1/3 of the ground oats. Mix well.
Repeat with the second egg, 1/3 banana mix,& 1/3 oats and finally the third egg, test of banana mix, oats.
Finally add the cinnamon & baking powder
Sprinkle with oats to decorate and a sliced 🍌
Bake in a preheated oven @170’ for about 45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean 👌🏽
If you like it a little sweeter you could add an optional 50gms of caster sugar or coconut sugar but it’s sweet enough without for me 😋
