I have a confession to make. I really let the team down.
I went to a Food and Wine Festival which is usually nirvana for me, because it’s acceptable to eat six hundred cuisines while walking around inebriated.
I meant to walk in there with a bib on and been wheeled out on a stretcher for chronic overeating, or at least spent my life savings on each food stall.
But I skewed so heavily towards the wine part on Saturday, that the only thing I really ate was this half a taco.😕
I got all hyped up with the excitement and ended up falling for the ol wives tale “eating’s cheating” (BY ACCIDENT) and just really didn’t do the food part justice this time. Disgraceful.
To get back in your good books I can confirm that I drank ALL of the wine in the venue. I tell you no lies. Pretty sure I did everyone proud with my extensive wine palette (read: talent for necking wine at a rapid pace) because my hangover the next day was so astronomical that I ate as much food the next day as I missed out on the day prior - and then some.🧀🍔🌮🍟🍕🌭
Takapuna Food & Wine Festival, GREAT TIMES CLASSIC HITS.
I’ll be back next year to make up for my wine/food imbalance.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

First session lip blush tattoo where we corrected shape, added volume and defined the borders.
The swelling will go down and the colour will soften within a week post treatment.
Will keep you all updated! 👏🏽
NZ you were such a delight. 🇳🇿❤️
I never know if it’s the red hot nudges I give every day/night I’m back or the fact I always seem to fly out at 7am on a Monday (rough as guts), but it gets harder every time. I know you’re just over there but i miss you.
Thanks for a bloody whale of a time 🤙🏼

Spotlight on Brain Play Albany 📍
Albany is our longest standing location turning two this term, but also our newest, having moved from our last school to Upper Harbour Primary School during the Dec 2018 holidays. Brain Play Albany is open Mon - Fri after-school and is also our one holiday programme location. Brain Play also teaches inside UHPS during the year, teaching teachers and students alike computer science. We love our newest location and all the wonderful students we have through every week.

Super grateful to have a man like @ollie_such as my best mate and to have shared such an experience like this together. It’s incredibly rare to find someone who sees the world you do and wants to approach life with the same intensity as you do.
Through taking on challenges such as this, you begin to realise how much you truely are capable of. What your body is actually capable of and how far you can push mentally through what life throws at you. This is a big lesson I’ve learnt in theory from @davidgoggins then practised upon my own accord.
I would recommend everyone aim to complete something this year and every year going forward that is beyond what you imagine you can do. Prepare yourself mentally to the point you know you will finish it without question.
Once you complete such a monumental task, your perception of what is possible from life is changed forever. After only a day I can say I wish everyone had this feeling (even if I’m in more pain then I’ve ever been in right now!)
Feel free to message me if you want any tips/advice on building your frame of mind. Will share what’s worked for me the past year as it has only been a year of building this frame of mind so super keen to see what the next few years hold!
P.S - Another thanks to @lululemonakl for the awesome clothing and all the support!
Um, did anyone else’s parents culinary skills drastically change the moment you flew the nest?
Swear to god I was brought up on meat and three veg (I’m talking like, boiled cabbage) but now when I pop home I’m getting served recipes straight out of The Fat Duck cookbook or something.
Let me just caveat and say that I’m extremely grateful and know how lucky it is to live a life with food on the table every day.
..but I feel just a liiiittle bit luckier when I rock up to their dinner table when their idea of a low key tea is duck fat potatoes and Panko & Parmesan crusted schnitzels topped with butter fried sage leaves.😍
While I did a lot of dining out while I was home, I got some great fam time in including some great family dins. It was all AMAZING and I didn’t even know half of the ingredients they used (and I call myself a “foodie”).
I’m not sure what’s happened with my parents while I’ve been living o/s the last 12yrs (could possibly be that they don’t have to put up with my shit), but they have turned into Nigella and Heston. And I have been LIVING for it.
I will struggle coming back to Aus and my cheese on toast dinners. Will definitely be attempting to take a (sage) leaf out of their books moving forward! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 #family
A beautiful sunny weekend drinking all the wine Takapuna had to offer 🥂 ☀️ 👯
What’s on the menu tonight? 🤷🏽♀️ Tonight I’m cooking up a slaw with cabbage, kale, onion, herbs and miso dressing, with some roasted chicken, broccoli and sweet potato, more herbs to top and some kim chi to serve. Lots of fibre, some protein, fermented food to keep my gut happy, lots of fibre, and some carbs to help with sleep. 👌🏼 What’s your go to on a week night?? J x
