Happy Motivation Monday! Got to the gym a little later ish because of school but I still got my leg day in. I know that when I’m tired and deflated after a long day I don’t even feel like lifting. SO I was super impressed and proud of myself when I pushed 2x6 at 450lbs tonight. I know I’ll be feeling that tomorrow.
Now: If you need that type of motivation. If you need someone to push you during these types of days.If you need help with food and nutrition because you have NO CLUE WHAT TO EAT.... Well then DM me now, because I will push your boundaries and limits. And trust me, I’ll make you sweat.
Week 2 of the cut. I’ll give a quick recap on everything we are currently doing for anyone who is new and might wanna hop in the cut. We are doing a 3 month cut and as of tomorrow we are doing 5 minutes of HIIT cardio a day along with not eating out and trying to eat healthy
Many women feel self conscious at the thought of going to the gym on their own. They feel as though everyone will be looking at their not-very-gym-ready body and criticizing it. If you go with a buddy, you’ll be paying more attention to them and not worrying about other people. It’s also often safer to run in company. So find yourself a fitness buddy and work towards your fitness goals together. Put the fun in fitness! 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️

My quest to you is... why do we dim our light? Why do we put to waste our natural given and blessed talent ?? 🤔🤔. What people say and the judgements they make is none of my business. Sooo who cares 🤷🏾♀️ #nosleeplost#whocares
HIIT workout done 💪🏽 today my gym partner and I did 7 workouts (40 secs each) 3x. We started off with burpees/mountain climbers, pop squats, Russian twists, star fish, stand ups, wall sit and plank splits!
“The single piece of scientific literature potentially connecting creatine to hair loss was a 2009 study published in the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine. The study followed just 20 rugby players as they supplemented with creatine for just 3 weeks. Those in the study who took creatine took a whopping 25 grams a day (5 grams is the typical recommendation). The researchers found that creatine may increase the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is believed to be the hormone behind male pattern baldness in men genetically predisposed to hair loss.
What this study did not do is prove creatine can cause hair loss, or even link the two. Not only did the research not mention hair loss, it was extremely small and limited to a very narrow time frame.” Obviously the research isn’t that huge however as someone with a dad who doesn’t have much hair I don’t really see the risk of using creative anymore for the little benefit it provides to my training. I’d rather have hair lol. The more you know 🤷🏼♂️

🏋️♂️DEADLIFTS FIXED MY BODY!
Before I started working out I had knee problems. In both knees. But the fact that it was equal in both knees assured me that it wasn't an untreated injury.
It was simply a lack of strength, from my calves all the way through my glutes, that was the issue, forcing my knees to over-compensate when not fully extended. Even walking stairs was painful.
Then I deadlifted... and I haven't had any pain since. Building strength and power through my entire posterior chain literally fixed my body!
This is why I believe that deadlifts is the single best excercise there is. And it will allow you to move some heavy-ass weights fairly quickly, which of course is motivating!
Personally, this was my first heavy deadlift session in about a month, because my lower back has been acting out (another weak bodypart of mine). Last time I did 4x5 with 130kg, but I stopped at 4x6 120kg today, cus I noticed I struggled a bit with keeping a neutral spine at the bottom part of the lift.

I’ve been told my whole life I’m too much to handle, still don’t know what people mean by that 🤷♂️

First day back to training with my coach @rafaelneposianomonteiro after 2 months and a half hiatus.
It went well but I did feel the absence of rigid and regular training. And at this point there’s only one thing I can do and that is to trust the process to getting back instead of trying to rush to where i left off.
Getting back to the gym after a long break is more a mental work than anything else because your body does need its time to readapt.
But i’m happy to be back 😁... Will post in my stories what we did as first workout this afternoon. 🤓 #beatricecelestin
On Monday’s we prep! Unless I didn’t order groceries in time! It happens...but not this week! Baby! Yup! 🔸

There are distinct benefits to using BOTH, Whey protein and Casein. Of course Isolate being the preferred choice when it comes to Whey. And do not listen to anyone who says Isolate and Concentrate are the same (not true, just more profit if you fall for it, as Concentrate is cheaper... waaaay cheaper). Technically, yes they kinda the same, both being Whey, but Isolate yields more protein being 90%+ while most Concentrates on the market are around 30% protein. Yes there is WPC80, but rarely used and still yields less protein than Isolate. Now that we got that out of the way, let’s go back to Whey and Casein. As you can see, both have place in your program, but even better (as illustrated above) and as per scientifically proven studies (University of Texas), combination of both, Whey (Isolate) and Casein are superior, than using just Whey by itself, as you get both, fast and slow digesting protein, hence best of both worlds. And that is exactly what you get with Apollon Nutrition. Fully transparent 50% Whey protein Isolate and 50% Micellar Casein. And we are pretty sure you already know about the taste 😉
At Will Power we have mutliple flavors of Apollon's 50/50 protein formula: wild strawberry, dutch chocolate, peanut butter cookie, and vanilla. If you're looking to grow those muscles its smart to invest in the right protein. Come pick one up next time you're training! #apollonnutrition#apollon#riseabovethecompetition#willpowergym#willpower#gym#portlandoregon#pdx#fitnessaddict#trainiac#personaltrainer#stayfocused#athletes#bodybuilding#mindmuscle#oldschool#oldschoolbodybuilding#classicphysique#nutrition#protein#wheyprotein#casein#caseinprotein
We love this brand of bags @goodpeople.fr made by local women in Madagascar.
