I am on the way to recovery and the practice can slowly begin again.
For most of you my bike accident, which I had 2 weeks ago, went unnoticed. The fall threw me out of the track more than I wanted. First, there was the suspicion of a concussion and after a few days a strong breast bruise became noticeable. Hellish pain over several days and over a week 0.0 movement were the result. It now goes step by step upwards and I am ready to start again.🙌🏼
So, von Kopf bis Fuß habe ich jetzt seit Beginn des Jahres alles mitgemacht. Das reicht hoffentlich nun für eine Weile😉
Ich befinde mich auf dem Weg der Besserung und das Training kann langsam wieder beginnen.
Für die meisten blieb mein Radsturz, den ich vor gut 2 Wochen hatte, unbemerkt.
Dieser hat mich doch mehr aus der Bahn geworfen als erwünscht. Erst war der Verdacht auf Gehirnerschütterung und nach ein paar Tagen machte sich eine Brustprellung des feinsten bemerkbar. Höllische Schmerzen über mehere Tage und über eine Woche 0.0 Bewegung waren das Resultat.
Es geht nun Schritt für Schritt bergauf und ich bin bereit wieder durchzustarten.
Athletes have a tendency to surprise don’t they?
One of my athletes had a bike fitness test (FTP) yesterday. This athlete crawls off the bike at the end very satisfied with himself. He had just delivered a new lifetime best performance.
After checking the numbers two or three times, he realises he just crushed his previous best ... and now has a 20 minute power output 20% higher than he’s ever done before!
You’ve got to love these types of surprises!

4. Deja de fortalecer y empieza a sentir molestias de nuevo⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Vuelve al gimnasio y dile a tu Coach (en mi caso @laesquinadelsofa ), tuviste razón todo este tiempo. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When you aim for an Ironman distance triathlon, Hawaii seems very far, almost impossible and still, the biggest dream for most of us. The thought of being there one day, along with riding in the lava fields in Lanzarote these days are definitely giving me the extra motivation I need for the last 💯 days of preparation and keeping that dream alive!.
A lot of work to do still but there are no shortcuts in this sport and that’s what makes it even more interesting and addictive 💪🏾

It's time to start getting back into a routine of some structured training. Nothing crazy, just slowly increasing the volume and building up some fitness. Almost sure that I won't be racing in 2019, but looking into building a solid foundation.
A bicycle pump is a type of positive-displacement air pump specifically designed for inflating bicycle tires. It has a connection or adapter for use with one or both of the two most common types of valves used on bicycles, Schrader or Presta. A third type of valve called the Dunlop (or Woods) valve exists, but tubes with these valves can be filled using a Presta pump.
Several basic types are available:
Compact or mini
Blast or tubeless
In its most basic form, a bicycle pump functions via a hand-operated piston. During up-stroke, this piston draws air through a one-way valve into the pump from outside. During down-stroke, the piston then displaces air from the pump into the bicycle tire. Most floor pumps, also commonly called track pumps, have a built-in pressure gauge to indicate tire pressure.
Electrically-operated pumps intended to inflate car tires (as available in most service stations) can in principle be used to inflate a bicycle tire if the right type of connection is available. Some such pumps are designed to cut off before a suitable pressure (much higher for a bicycle than a car tire), and will much under inflate the tire. Others may not cut off, but deliver a high rate of flow to fill the larger car tire, with a risk of over inflating and bursting a bicycle tire unless it is stopped with split-second timing.
Inflating tubeless tires requires an initial surge of air to seat the bead, and specialized pumps are available specifically for this task.

Triathlon training!!! Sometimes taking on the biggest challenges in life make you grow stronger both mentally and physically. I never knew that I had in me until my friend who lost his son needed someone to be there for him. So, I had no other choice but to support my grieving friend who wanted to dedicate this race to his son. We both finished the whole triathlon on our first endeavor. Looking forward for the next one.
