Book now for a place in next weekends Triathlon Training Camp at the Mardyke Arena, Cork, hosted by Tri Coach Bjorn. We will cover all things triathlon including: 1. Swimming - we will have a swim session on both days, looking at your swim technique. An underwater video analysis will also be taken for each participant in order to pinpoint specific things for you to work on. 2. Biking - there will be turbo sessions held each day, where we will work on maximising your biking effort. 3. Running - making use of the outdoor running track, we will work on specific drills to strengthen your biomechanics to make you a faster, more efficient runner. 4. Transition - tips on how to put structure to your transition setup, in order to improve your transition times. 5. Recovery Strategies - often the most neglected element of training, we will review strategies to improve performance and reduce injury. 6. Strength & Conditioning - sessions will be undertaken each day to show you how to get the best results out of your time available. Here is some more indepth information on the SWIM element for the weekend: * We will look at your stroke and work with you to make you a better more efficient swimmer. * We will take a video of you underwater from both sides, front and back and pinpoint specific things that you need to work on. * We will look at your body position, your leg kick, what your arms are doing underwater, breathing patterns and timing. Picture says it all 🙃 One of the toughest races I've ever completed today under really tough conditions. Never experience heat like that. Extremely happy with the effort though from top 20 last year to top 5 this year... Couldn't have pushed any harder... 5th in a national champs is a base for me to hopefully build on...my @estrella_bikes ligero road bike kept me in the game with all the tt bikes.. Great race at Pikeman Triathlon in rosslare yesterday, on probably the hottest day of the year so far! 1st in my age group and 5th overall shows the hard work I’ve put in this winter is starting to pay off. There’s nothing more rewarding than standing up on stage receiving awards for hard work, sweat and tears put into training and competition over the year. I have proved to myself this year that with dreaming and believing anything is possible as long as I didn’t give up. 💪🏼 Tonight I received a number of awards, @bmwireland BMW Super Series Female Champion, Junior Aquathon National Champion, 2nd Junior Duathlon National Championship, 2nd Sprint National championship, But there’s one award I didn’t expect and that was Junior Athlete of the Year. This year has been a year of hard work, experience and results... especially a bronze medal at an Junior European Cup and a chance to race at a European level. I’m really looking forward to getting down to the hard work for the 2019 season and lastly there are a number of people that I can’t thank enough for the experiences and opportunities I have had, @cspeers1111 & @kerryspeers, @3dtwenty, the girls @roisinmurphy_222 & @lisagordon90 at @sportnorthernireland, @marypeterstrust, @ray.brownfield, all my friends (you know who you are) and lastly Mum and Dad who I have dragged the length and breadth of Ireland to watch me race I couldn’t do it without any of you. ❤️

After a tough race weekend last week and starting into another block of training I really wasn't thinking of racing again but I couldn't not race @tri_jacko home race and first race back this season. He absolutely smashed it winning in over 4mins. I was happy enough being first women out of the swim and onto my #estrella aero road bike. Overall I managed a 6th place and first place in the under24 age category in this years BMW national series. Some pros and some cons but always moving forward. DQ wasn’t exactly what I came for when I lined up at the final round of this years #BMWsuperseries Unfortunately even with a great race between 2 other girls for that last podium spot, the 11 degree ❄️Irish water❄️ got to my hands, feet and brain which resulted in a disqualification. Total learning curve ✅👌🏻 . Aside from that (and maybe the tractor 🤔😂) my first ever season racing in the elite superseries has been an amazing experience to say the least! .
