Thank you @speedsherpa Sherpette @handrigan for being my #swim buddy today! Made such a big difference to have a friend and teammate by my side while lit’rally dipping my toes back in. 800yds comprised of alotta 25s and 50s, and one 200 that Melissa insisted on. Baby steps so all done with a pull buoy and no wall pushing-slow and unsteady but grateful to do it. If I can maintain this swim-gratitude as I get stronger that’ll be a huge win.
Ups and downs! Yesterday was a hard day, a bad day. I was really sore from PT on Thursday and struggling with whether it was all good pain or bad pain and by the evening I had quite convinced myself it was the latter. I spiraled so far that while loading the dishwasher before bed I somehow found myself sitting on the kitchen floor crying. I was sure I’d re-broken my hip and that I was going back on the crutches. I felt a thousand times better today-no pain. Planned to try a #swim but the pool was closed so decided to give the #bike a spin. Just putting these shorts on was emotional and I cried fat happy tears driving over to @offroaddc to ride. All the things I’ve taken for granted before seem like overwhelming gifts now. Bff @claricelorenzini warned me the waterworks would continue and she wasn’t wrong. Got 15 glorious minutes in the saddle with no resistance and no standing so mostly just learning to move my legs that way again - basically I cried more than I sweat today but it’s a start!

MX Endurance is excited to welcome @sarah_alxndr to the team!
Sarah is going to be helping our athletes with their race specific questions and aid with time management and goal setting!
Sarah is making her 70.3 debut this weekend and the entire MX Endurance team will be behind her!
“In 2018 I joined the tri team because I made this decision to start my multi sport journey with the CDA 70.3. Knowing that I was out of my element, I needed guidance and training motivation. Right away I felt a part of a community of athletes and friends (which was incredible). From the swim training, which by the way I always thought of myself as a good swimmer NOPE.... I quickly realized I was a good floater and had a long way to go.
Then there was the many cycling trips, the flat tires, the leg cramps and the constant support from our tri team community. Let’s not forget the many times Astra hounded me about NUTRITION, NUTRITION, NUTRITION!!! Me being me, barely listening and boy did I pay for that decision 🤦🏻♂️. We aren’t just a tri team, we are a community of like minded friends, always willing to meet up for a 7am swim at sanders: Phil B, or at any chance to get together and help others.
I remember on the bike thinking to myself “why in the world did I pay to sit on this tiny hard seat for 3 hours”?? And “I’m never doing this again.... “
Well the Monday after the race came and I was already looking for the signup for the next 70.3 Ironman CDA. Since then I have signed up for 3 triathlons, a Spartan, and some fun runs!!! 🍻 Here’s to a great 2019 with a great group!” -Chad T

We do monthly social gatherings, weekly workouts and random team BBQs. We support one another when our kids have events, we support one another when we have events and there is always someone willing to go the extra mile if you need help.

Was für ein sportlicher Nachmittag! 🤩
Heute war ich zum ersten mal beim ortsansässigen Triathlon Team! Wohne ja wirklich in nem kleinem Kaff. Aber hab das Glück n tollen Triathlon Verein und ne große Laufgruppe zu haben! Echt toll! Und bei beiden war heute Training. Also bin ich heut erst km See mit dem TriTeam geschwommen und anschließend direkt zum laufen gegangen. Erstmals in der Gruppe 5 - die stärkste Gruppe der Laufgruppe. Auf dem Plan stand Tempotraining: 10min einlaufen

Und nun bin ich schon wieder auf dem Weg zum Nachtdienst! Wow! Ich fühl mich heute wie Wonderwoman. Deswegen blieb heut keine Zeit für ein sportliches Foto!
Die Zeit und Distanz vom schwimmen ist leider nicht korrekt. Es fehlt ein Teil der Aufzeichnung. Aber egal! Gemacht is gemacht! 💪
Auf dem letzten Bild seht ihr meinen Gürtel. Da wo mein Finger ist hab ich ihn letztes Jahr getragen. Und nun wird es Zeit für neue Löcher, es wären die 8. die ich neu mache. Vielleicht gönne ich mir auch einfach nen neuen Gürtel! 😉
