Collective Arts Brewing Lunch Money, 4.8% ABV. An American Blonde Ale brewed with Centennial and German Magnum hops. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with almost no head. Aroma is faint, cereal grain, white wine. Taste is grassy, sour apple, tart, white wine, finishes dry. Not really digging this one. Can art designed by Nicolae Negura of Lisbon, Portugal. @collectivebrew

Yesterday's FOURmidable 2019 USATF 50K National Championship. Muddy, wet, unrelentingly technical, and yet, the most competitive, least-lonely 50K I've ever run.
Am I sore today? Yes, I'm hobbling around today. Would I do it again, under the same conditions? YES! This was a slog, and muddier than I had ever imagined, but I finished (albeit slower than I had hoped) and I feel that I gave it (almost) my best shot. I think I'm now more prepared for my next 50K mud run. Looking forward to it. 😆

☑️ Day 3: 66.2 kg — keto adaptation
☑️ Day 4: 65.4 kg — ketogenic

☑️ Day 6: 64.4 kg — deep ketosis
🔜 Day 7: [pending]
Was slightly dehydrated yesterday, so my weight was underreported a bit. Urine tested at 4 mmol/L during the day time. Well-hydrated today, and after a good amount of cardio ( #cycling + #running, all powered by one scoop of #KetoCaNa), my weight stabilized at 64.4 kg. That's a huge drop in just six days, with nine more days to go ⬇️👻
Finally - RACE REPORT - The REVENANT
This is a weird race report to write because I didn’t go as expected – I didn’t get close to complete the goals I set for this event and judging from reports I’ve seen from others who tackled this event I’m not alone. Like me, many are still processing this in their heads too hence its taken a while (a month). Perhaps that pretty much sums up The @revenantnz Revenant 2018!
It’s an event that had lots of questions before we even began and the answers were either drip fed to us right up until the start or they’re still out there! The biggest answer is still out there for me and was also my main objective for the event. “how far can my body go, how long can it be pushed and keep going?” Right from the when it was first announced, The Revenant was something I couldn’t miss...Scott Worthington and Leroy de Beer have created a legend that will only gain in notoriety.
Settle in with a drink to read the report here as it's too long for a Facebook post

There's a cool article in the latest @northandsouthmag by Mike White you should read too. #trailrunningnz#navigation#ultrarunning#ultrarunner#adventurerace#epicrun#nz#newzealand#welcomerocktrails@altrarunning_nz@ultraspire_nz@tailwindnutritionnz@myspringenergy_nzau 📸 @sean.beale and Mike White
I miss racing. I haven't been able to train much since the beginning of the year. I've only been able to go to CrossFit once a week or every other week, and go on trail runs on the weekends...or some weekends not at all. It's driving me bonkers.
My career has me working 12-13 hour days with a schedule that moves around week to week making it really hard to plan ahead and have a life outside of work. It is what it is, but at the same time...I sometimes question why I even do what I do anymore when a lot of people are watching tv and movies on devices with shitty speakers (laptops, iPads, Beats by Dre headphones/earbuds, etc...)
Anyways, I will return to form at some point. Hopefully, around late Spring/early Summer. One thing's for sure, no one's gonna stop me from shredding Dodger Stadium again in August!!! I have something ridiculous planned for it, which hopefully @sac_af68 and @rynesworld will join in on. 🏋🏾♂️🏃🏾♂️
