The first 8 weeks of such a preparation were spent periodically increasing Calista’s calories in an effort to encourage improvements regarding the function of her thyroid, resulting a little more leeway than she would have otherwise had regarding her caloric intake and expenditures at this stage of her preparation. Nothing comes for free. Anything that involves changing your diet comes with costs. It seems people are blinded to the trade off’s, because of what their favorite fitspo coach posts. ⠀
That combined with the help of poor guidance... People are really getting F’d up. ⠀

A few years ago, I felt exhausted 24/7 and found it difficult to string together a proper sentence. My memory was crap and I felt dizzy ALL the time! ... In hindsight: Sorry for complaining so much @joshblakefitness 😂🙈
A B12 deficiency feels pretty horrible and is much more common than you may think!
Symptoms include feeling tired, dizzy and just not quite ‘with it’. Often my clients describe feeling ‘foggy headed’ and say they may sometimes walk into a room and forget why they’re there! Muscle weakness and tingling in the hands/ feet is also common.
The thing with B12 is that a generic blood test may not show us the whole picture. This test only shows us how much B12 is floating around in our blood and not how much is actually being USED by our body.
In fact, some people can still show signs of deficiency even though they have an adequate blood B12 level! This is because generic B12 has to go through a complicated process before it can be used by our body. Unfortunately, some people have a reduced ability to do this due to genetic SNPs that change the way we metabolise and process B12.
If you suspect a B12 deficiency, it’s important to know that a single blood test may not always be enough! 😪

sometimes it is the people no one imagines anything of that will do the things no one can imagine 👊🏻
• 5 x 10 hamstring curls
• 3 x 10/leg cable kickbacks
• 3 x 10/leg cable abductors
• 4 x 15 hyper extensions
• 3 x 12 DB deadlift
• 3 x 12 hip thrusts
all very light weights because I need to be careful of keeping only little as possible pressure on my foot, so I focused on tempo and contracting the muscle

starting with 15 x banded hip bridges and 15 x banded abductors working all the way down to 1 and 1 with no rest. (I used my @jesscoatecampus booty band)

You know what I see when I look at this photo? I see more than my transformation in 21 weeks. I see beyond losing 5kg, gaining shape and strength, and I see beyond me now eating almost 1000 calories more than what I finished my cutting phase on. What I see represented in this comparison photo is TRUST. I see myself in the first photo handing myself over to the process 100%. I see myself acknowledging that I need help and deciding to put FULL trust into my coach and husband @coach__carroll .
This is what happens when you give it everything you’ve got. This is what happens when you do as you’re told and don’t think twice about adding in more training volume, taking a diet break, and then reversing to build up and eat more food. This is what can happen when you set a goal and start making yourself a priority. I can see in the second photo how doing all those things has already paid off.
I can already say that I’m proud of myself for what I’ve achieved SO FAR. I still have work to do and this motivates me more than anything to keep going. I know I am capable of so much more, not just from an aesthetics point of view, but literally changing my LIFE. I am learning so much through this process and I’m incredibly thankful to do it with my best friend @coach__carroll . I have a quote that I’m sure many of you have heard by now but this sums up my feelings spot on to what I’m experiencing. I’m in deep...🖤.
