PR 530×1, set 8 or 9
So @aaronsaulnier invites me out to train at @613lift_ltd and this place is like if Willy Wonka decided to say f**k it to the candy, picked up a barbell and opened the coolest gym ever. It reminds me of when I was 7 and having my birthday party at Gym Jam (best place on earth...RIP). Anyways, it's not a proper training session without an impromptu deadlift max effort workout, so I figure it's time to top my previous best of 500. Worked up to a conventional PR of 475, but I really wanted to make a big leap up so I switched to close stance sumo for the rest of the workout.
500 moved fairly easy, and when I hit 520 with relative ease I thought that it was time to throw on that extra 10. It was ugly. Like a baboon's ass kinda ugly. The cats called me their brother, and welcomed me with open paws. Either way, 530 got locked out and is now in the books. Time to go shit in the litter box.
WORKOUT 36/36 DONE⠀
seriously, when we first heard about this program release I rolled my eyes. “Another Shaun T program. I hate cardio”. And it was “only 20 minutes” and “used a step” and I literally almost puked in my mouth. ⠀
But if there’s ANYTHING I learned from being a coach- it’s that sometimes you have to do shit that you’d rather not do. Like wake up an extra hour early to send client emails, or do another cardio program from Shaun T. ⠀
So I did it, begrudgingly, starting on day one. And here we are, at the end of day 41, workout 36, and I cried when the workout was finished. ⠀
I committed to myself in a way I really haven’t before- to REALLY commit. To not skip a workout when I was tired. (It’s only 20 minutes.) I climbed through some of the toughest mental barriers, especially in exercises when it felt too challenging to complete but I did it anyway. And I conquered all the negativity in my mind that this program wouldn’t be for me- because it 100% was. ⠀

Today was not my typical environment at the gym. Today, there was a high amount of young kids with their parents. There was 9 kids under the age of 14 (to my guess), and 7 of those appeared to be under the age of 10. Let me tell you this, they did not look happy.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m the first one to tell you I believe kids should be healthy and active! HOWEVER, these kids looked like they were very unhappy, especially the girls. At these ages, being active should be FUN! These kids parents were making them do lifts that they did not know proper form for. This is very dangerous as kids do not have proper coordination to begin with. Not only that, but what is this teaching them about body image at that age? As I looked at the girls faces staring blankly at fit women’s’ bodies, I got a pit in my stomach. That used to be me, but not even close to that age.
Parents, young kids need proper training when it comes to fitness. They’re bodies are much different and require more direction than ours. If you believe your child TRULY needs strength training (ie for sports or they WANT to) find a trainer certified to train children.
Kids are always watching. They notice when you obsess over your body, when you ridicule yourself, when you comment on how people should eat or look. They notice, and it will effect them the rest of their life. Let’s change culture, it starts with kids! Let’s let fitness and nutrition be about HEALTH, and not about aesthetics. Let’s work to end these mental health problems by being good examples and showing our kids what’s right ❤️

Omg today has been just what I needed. I’m taking the entire day off. Usually I work right through the weekend but I’ve desperately needed a break, so today is it! 🙌🏼 so far I’ve spent all day just hanging out with my kids, swimming, catching fish, baking cookies, watching movies and cooking! It’s almost perfect except my husband doesn’t have today off so he’s the missing piece 💔

A few reminders if you’re anxious about maintaining your regular exercise routine on vacation👇
🌴it takes 2-3 weeks of inactivity in the average person for muscles to atrophy - don’t worry about a few days off 🌴if you have been regularly going hard in the gym leading up to your vacation, taking it easy for a few days is crucial in order to see significant gains. Our bodies need rest in order to repair and grow so what better time than on vacay?
🌴one week of relaxing out of a year of regular exercise does not do any damage in the grand scheme of things 🌴if you are itching to exercise, fitting hikes into your itinerary is a great way to see the sights AND get your heart rate up at the same time. A good hike = serious leg day -

Da er mit seiner Schlabberzunge durch den Body an der Wunde leckte,hat sich diese entzündet.
Der Halskragen setzt ihn total unter Stress.Er jault und ich kann ihm nicht wirklich helfen.
Jetzt trägt er Windel,Schlafanzugoberteil und darüber den OP Body.Wenn man mit ihm raus muss,dauert es erstmal ne halbe Stunde,ihn auszupellen🤪
Aber das klappt gut.
Bald wird er wieder fast der Alte sein💕
