Got two workouts in today, and honestly not believing this is my body. 💪🏼🏋🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️💪🏼 .
I’ve been getting a good amount of questions lately that are all similar to “how are you doing this?” 1) please keep asking! If you want to talk or you feel unsure about this kind of lifestyle change, I’m here for you as an open book while I learn along the way. 2) once you start seeing rewards, it is not hard to give up the bad food, and I promise eating healthy doesn’t mean eating cardboard- it just takes work. 3) the Lord was good to slowly open my eyes to bad habits and lack of self-control. He is continuing to give me grace as I try to honor Him with my body and life. 4) even when rewards aren’t very evident, I know I am doing something that is GOOD for me. This summer I was challenged with the truth that if I really truly believed Scripture, that I should want to know it and be saturated in it, because I KNOW it will feed my soul. That has changed the way I approach the Lord. In the same way, even if I’m not walking away with an instant result after a meal or workout, I know I am taking care of myself. And on that note- my body is temporary, my soul is eternal- and so is yours. The night is cold, an icy breeze rattles through the slatted boards covering the windows.
The small 🔥 struggles to cast even the smallest shadow as it fights to keep burning. It desperately needs more fuel.
The kettle on the stove begins to develop a frost as the cold slowly overtakes the interior of the home like a long shadow inching away from the sun.
The man fights with the quilt as he tries to pull it tighter around him, shivering as the cold threatens his fleecy fortress. He knows he needs to put another log on the dwindling fire. He knows what he needs to do but cannot bring himself to brave the bone chilling cold that awaits him.
If he stays in the fading luke warm barrier that is his bed, he knows he will freeze to death by morning. All he has to do is overcome the daunting ice chest that is his rickety home and fuel the 🔥 just once more but the inevitability of winters bite that awaits him even for the gift of a night of warmth is debated in his mind.

There is no doubt that any of us would stoke the heck out of that flame! The future reward of warmth would be well worth the temporary discomfort.
Our metabolism is the same way. It is a raging or dwindling fire. Protein is the log that determines if the fire is raging or going out. If you wait until evening to have your protein, that’s just like this man laying in a cold bed for fear of more cold. Your metabolism and fat burning machine depend on protein to work.
If you want to burn fat as efficiently as possible, you NEED to eat protein every 2-3 hours, period. Men-25 to 30 g. Women-20 to 25 grams. (Minimums).
Need more evidence? Search the hashtag #transphormation and look over some before and afters (2-4 week results) of people getting their protein every 2-3 hours, hitting their macros and combining it with WORK. You can achieve this too, but you’re going to need to correct some old habits. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Started off Family Day with some Free Fun at The YMCA + a Swim! Finishing it off with some Butter Chicken and some sort of Disney Game on the XBox Ani enjoys pressing buttons for. She is legit mezmerized right now, or maybe just so tired from earlier she is okay just zoning out?
Whatever it is I'm thankful for this Holiday that didn't always exist, and all the moments I get to spend watching these 2 together.
When the gym is crowded and and you need to get a quick workout in, but everything is being used, GET CREATIVE!
5 rounds of the following circuit:
1) Goblet squat-12 Reps
2) 45lbs plate press-12 Reps
3) Reverse lunges-12 Reps each side
4) Pushups-20 reps
I took 30 seconds rest after each circuit. Finished the workout in about 25 minutes and only needed a weight plate and kettlebell. 💪🏽

One thing for sure is that it is absolutely beautiful! I took so many photos of today and here are the ones that are my favorite! I want to go out more! There are so many beautiful places here in Nashville and I feel like I'm missing out.
Thankfully the @latinoachievers were able to give me many opportunities to visit so many places that I would've never seen before and I've learned so much about what Nashville has to offer thanks to them! I really appreciate it!
