In the online cycling watopia of @gozwift there are endless roads with zero traffic, but there’s more reality to the virtual world of eSport bike racing than I had anticipated.

IT is HWC Pedal Mafia Zwift's 94th sub2.0 social ride.
We have over 60 keen bunnies already signed up for our TRUE sub2.0w/kg social ride where we chat about all things bikes, races and donuts. Last week we had over 140 riders...... the word is surely getting out.
Tonight is RICHMOND flats.
Important points to remember: * Ride Leader remains at sub2.0 for the whole ride. Please follow on screen messages. * The holy green sprinters jerseys are hotly contested (just make sure you return to the yellow beacon after each sprint), * Fliers are loathed, cursed and will not be chased. They will also be FLAGGED and not be included in any finishing results. Plus fliers scored themselves a new Tinder account 😂 * Whilst we have a dedicated team of amazing and strong Sweepers....... anyone wanting to help out back is more than encouraged and will gain our eternal thanks. * We do use Discord. 60 over unders on the trainer today...3 sets of 20 with no rest in between, coupled with a race for a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes. I also learned a valuable lesson to double check the course before starting a workout...1,800 feet of climbing during the over unders 🙃 Started to doubt myself and then I remembered the end goal: Mont-Tremblant 70.3. Today’s discomfort is setting me up to succeed tomorrow, next week, next month and ultimately on race day.
Been a while since I dived into the social-media-training-proof-of-the-pudding-scene, but here I am🕺Zwifting and lifting my ass off, looking forward to next step in the level up. Spent 1 hour on Zwift, and also wondering how I managed to start riding at 2am every weekend last year.
Now, I can’t even get up for a 5.30am ride! What a joke. 🙄
